Ok Monday's aren't really all that bad.  Today was lousy but not because it was Monday.  It was lousy because for some unknown reason I was just in a ****** mood.  You know those kind of moods don't ya?

I am pretty sure I have written about this before but I am going to do it again.  Just something that is on the brain today.

Why is it that............

Cars are no longer "used" but "pre-owned" and when did that happen?

TV doesn't have "re-runs" any more.  They have "encore showings".

Goodwill and Salvation Army stores are "bad" but "thrift stores", "consignment stores", and "vintage stores" are "good".  Aren't they all the same thing?

You won't by clothes at a yard sale, but it is ok to at a rummage sale that some group is having?  Still used clothing isn't it?

"Pawn shops" are bad, but you by the exact same thing at a flea market or yard sale?  Ebay even?

At the movie rental store there aren't any "used" tapes or DVD's.  But you can buy movies that are "pre-viewed"?

Guess I could add more to this list but I think you see where I am going.  If you want something you don't want to say you got it "used", but all these other words that mean the exact same thing makes it ok. 

I'm sorry.  If anyone bought it before you did, I don't care where you buy it, or if it's pre-owned or vintage, it's still used.

I don't care if the TV stations call it an "encore" showing -- it's still a RE-RUN folks.

"They" say AOL is free........but Editor Jeff tells us the reason our journals took forever to open is because of one of the advertisers had a problem.  Ok so AOL is free.  But is costing us.  Costing us time.

Does this entry sound like a rant?  It isn't supposed to.  Well maybe that last little bit about AOL.  LOL
