Just me. I am starting to feel some better. Doctor got me started on a new med yesterday. I won't feel the effects for another 3 or 4 weeks. But some of the sick feelings I have been having are evidently part of coming off the old med. Great. I'll live. Mostly I stay sick on my stomach and keep running to the bathroom. Great side effects for coming OFF a medicine. LOL
I want to get happy about the things going on in J-land, but I just can't seem to pull it off. There is (or was) trick or treating through J-land, the VIVI awards, and they have nailed down a place for a J-land convention in March (?) of 2007. All great things but I just can't get excited about anything these days. I won't be going to the J-land Convention although it is fairly close and in a great place (Myrtle Beach, SC).
Lately I have been running into tons and tons of halloween graphics that I am pretty much over Halloween and it isn't even here yet!
After I got home from the doctor yesterday (feeling like I needed to die in order to feel better) I had to take mom to the hearing doctor. Evidently dad had been sick and no one told me. He had his friend take him to the ER while I was at the doctor.
So I take mom to get her hearing tested. We had to be there by 1:30 pm and it was after 4 pm by the time we got out of there. Good news is she will be getting hearing aids (thank God. I am so tired of yelling at her), bad news is they are about $1,600 for ONE and you have TWO ears! Not sure how it will get paid for but she will be getting them. Even if I have to sell something! LOL
Dad. They kept him overnight at the hospital. Something about his ear. The older dad gets the more he talks in circles. It sounds like he has an inner ear infection, but then again they may have saw something when they ran a test of some sort. And dizziness can come before a stroke or something. I swear that after I talk to him I know less than I did before I went into the first grade! LOL I think he's ok though. I feel too bad to go and see for myself. I know that sounds horrible of me. But I feel horrible and I don't believe dad is all that sick. If I thought he was I would have been to the hospital instead of just talking to him on the phone. I am not that bad of a daughter.
Not much to say unless I go on a rant about health care, my own health and my next door neighbor. And trust me don't want to hear about any of that.
Sick of Halloween I know. But I love this tag:

You know, there is a health journal I hear. Wonder what it's called...hmmmmmm. Tammy
I know what you mean...think Halloween started too early. I'm just now fixing to start all my Halloween graphics on my entries. Just can't do it for a whole month, I've seen so many now, I'll be glad when it's over! LOL
Hope the new med works for you! :)
I can't got to the Convention either, my reason is no $.
Happy I got nominated in the Vivi's, don't expect to win, up against people who have been here longer & have tons of readers. But I enjoyed getting nominated! Congrats to you for getting nominated too, for your other journal!
Glad Dad will be ok, & good news about Mom getting hearing aides...even if she can just get one.
Hugs, Sugar
Cheer up Kathy ,I dont like you to be sad like this love Jan xx
You're a wonderful daughter. I hope both of your parents do well. That sure is expensive for hearing aids. Geez, you'd think they could help older people out with that....Medicare or something.

I absolutely love your tag at the top. I am glad to hear that you are getting better but sorry to hear what you have to go through to get better....

Kathy~
So glad you are pulling through the meds change thing. I'm praying for you. You are around the corner coming home...hope this is what you need!
Also good for me to hear you working with your parents through their troubles. My mom needs hearing aids and keeps putting it off. Why is that? She yells; I yell. We did get through cataract surgery, one eye at a time.
Congratulations on your VIVI Award nomination.

I hope the new med brings you some releif. I think the problem with holidays are that they start a month ahead of time and then we get tired of them. I know I've had these fall decorations up since September and by the time Thanksgiving is over, I'll be ready to put up Christmas ones. Hope your dad is ok ! 'On Ya' - ma
Glad you are starting to feel better! Hope your dad is okay.
Have a great weekend!
