It's from customercare@butterflyphoto.com and the to line doesn't have my email address even.  It's ***@aol.com.  I have NOT opened the attached file.  Seems odd to me.  Does anyone know what this could be?  Do I need to call my credit card people?  I am starting to worry.

Kathy

**ok, i decided to edit out the name that was on the email.  still don't understand how it got into my email when it was addressed to someone else.

I do not know, but suspect it is a scam.  Don't wait ... check in where appropriate.

I got the same damn email...and it was not to me but to some name beginning with a "C". I just sent it to the spam folder...if any company can charge me that amount of money...more power to them...they just wanted you to download their virus or something just as sinister...do not give it a second thought.

Call your credit card company IMMEDIATELY. Then notify AOL. This is insane.

They want your information!  Don't call!  Check the credit card # against yours - If its the same, call the card company.  Blessings, Penny

Hey I got a virus on my computer one time and the next day I have all these emails...people are pissed, confused or laughing..but it seems this virus sent porn to everyone in my buddy list...now since I've been in AOL member for years, we are talking at least 100 people...I check my sent mail...and there is the evidence.....I had alot of explaining to do....I told everyone I only do porn alone..I dont invite anyone...lol...kidding..but boy was that day obnoxious

I received basically the same e-mail about 6 months ago  Nearly freaked out!  I talked to just about everybody I could and it  was a scam, but I did not inquire the sender of the e-mail.  Nothing happened, but I did print the e-mail and kept it for several months just in case I was charged.
