We have pictures! Not exactly how I wanted to show them, but here they are. Isn't she just the sweetest little thing? I hope you take the time to see each picture and do it using the "view larger". You can't really see how small she is, but she is small.
The respiratory infection that she has is sort of like a cold or the flu in humans. It is caused most likely by a virus. We can't catch it (and neither can dogs apparently since while at the vet she was kept in with the dogs). It is highly contagious to other cats though. This infection takes awhile to get over, and while I am not sure how long Sadie will be contagious Dr B wants me to wait (if possible) until I take her back for a check up before I put her and Dallas together. This is a problem to me. Sadie isn't due to go back to Dr B until Feb 2, which is a long time to keep her separate. I feel so bad about leaving her shut up in one room. Yes, I spend time in there with her but I still feel guilty. And yesterday while I was playing with her I had Dallas on the other side of the door meowing like crazy.
Oh, a site to read more about upper respiratory infections in cat is here at Columbia Animal Hospital, also at animal clinic
update: just got back from the vet. Sadie weighed 1.5 pounds when I picked her up on the 9th, and today she weighs a whopping 2.5 pounds!

SHE REALLY IS ADORABLE. WHO COULD REFUSE TO CARE FOR THIS LITTLE BABY? DON'T FORGET TO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DECIDED TO NAME HER?

Oh...how precious! She looks very healthy! Living with you must be agreeing with her. =) Congratulations on your new family member!

WHat a little cutie pie! She's adorable! :-)

She's a sweet looking kitty-baby! And lucky, so lucky, after such a rocky start. Thanks to YOU!
Don't feel bad about leaving her alone. Better that than Sadie dying alone in some field somewhere. Or infecting Dallas. She'll be FINE. She's got the remotes, Fancy Feast, a brush, a blanky . . . what else does a kitty-baby need?
