As a member of the group "The Journal Keepers" I have noticed alot of postings of people asking how to get others to come and read their journals. And while there are probably millions, ok maybe not millions, of ways I have hit on an idea. I mention it here instead of the above mentioned group because this way gives me a chance to see who is reading me! hee hee
My idea. I post a line of a poem, song, joke, whatever, and send you to someone else's journal for the next line, or punch line, ect. Then they send you to someone else's journal for the next line, or joke or whatever. Wonder if it would work? If anyone would want to try? Let me know what you think. If I get one or two people and they get one or two people, and they get. , well you see where I am going here....
update: like I said I know there are other, better ways to get readership. this just struck me as a fun idea. and even after the fun is over people may not come back to your journal.
yes, I know there are thousands of journals out there, and I know you can post at the group sites. I just thought this might be FUN. maybe I was wrong. But if we are talking a short poem, this will only take you to maybe 10 different journals. Think of it more as a GAME than upping your journal's readership.

Sounds good to me. I don't think anyone reads my journal and if they do, not many leave comments so it would be good publicity for me. By the way, I have some cat pictures for you I will send sometime soon! :)

I'm reading. That sounds like a very original idea. I think the best way, however to get someone to read your journal is to take the time to read and comment on others. That has been my experience. A lot of people who keep begging for readers don't put any effort forth to read anyone else's journal.
That's definitely an original idea there. :-)

Did you know there are a couple of 100 journals plus? That would be some big mailbox full if I get what you mean. : )
I think a good idea would be to post your journal on the Journal Keeper's message board and to also post it on the Born to Blog message board. Have you done that? I know I find mine by reading the comments of others on my own. I then go find their board. : )
