Thursday November 2nd

I for one am having troubles since they changed some of the journal stuff last night.  As you can tell by my last entry I am having graphic placement issues.  Grrrrrrr

Today you can start voting for the VIVI's if you so chose to.  Go over here ------>>>>2006 VIVI AWARD JOURNAL and find out how and where to vote.

I have been getting tons of "vote for me" in the mail lately.  Next Tuesday is voting day.  I hate "off year" elections.  It is harder to find out more about all the people that are running for local elections.  Voting for judges is horrible.  Maybe if I did more of my homework it wouldn't be.  And they keep changing the voting lines, I was already to vote for someone last time but by the time I got a chance to vote they had re-drawn the district lines and he was in another district.  I hate that!

Not much to say.  Feel like crap.  Wonder if it is a reaction to the flu shot.  Probably not.  Got the shot Tuesday, had my blood pressure rechecked (yup, it's up) and had blood drawn.  The lady that took my blood had no idea what she was doing.  Ended up having BOTH arms stuck! Hate it when they end up doing that.  Got a prescription for more blood pressure meds.  Great.

I have learned over the years that even though you can do a lot to help with your blood pressure and cholesterol levels some of it is inherited.  So if you have family members with those problems chances are good you could too.  In my case there is a large percentage of family with those problems.  So even though I could (and should) do more to control the numbers they would still probably be high.  It is amazing how much stuff you can inherit.

Guess that's enough of me running off at the mouth (sort of like oral diarrhea or diarrhea of the mouth.  LOL)

Sophie is in here knocking everything off my desk trying to get my attention for some reason or another.  Love her dearly but she gets on my nerves sometimes.

Here's the truth.  MOST of BP and cholesterol problems ARE genetics.  I love your graphics....SO cute!

Well, it's funny that you mention high blood pressure and elections in the same entry. I know genetics play a part, but I wonder if politics might too?

Love the graphics, lol.

Thanks for reminding me about the VIVI's.  I nominated some folks way back when and I'm curious to see if they made the cut.

Have a good weekend, Kath.

Yep, I keep getting vote for me mail too.  I've even seen the candidates on the side of the road waving to people.  lol  Got a sample ballot in the mail the other day and I have to study it before next week.  They try to confuse you with the wording on the amendments but not this time.  I'm going to do my homework.  My son brought home a postcard he made at school asking us to go vote. lol  Cute.  Have a great weekend!  Hugs and GBU, Shelly

Some things are genetics and there is a limit on what you can do.
I get really confused during voting time, weither for vivis or prpoposition this or that. My husband gets really into it and reads and investigates. I let him tell me whats up.... Christine
