Tuesday, but feels like Monday

We finally got Sadie to eating!  I am so happy.  She wasn't eating enought for me to get her meds into her so Dr B gave her some shots.  Since she wasn't eating he gave her a vitamin B shot also.  He said that shot would sting a little.  Just a little.  Well it must have stung more than a little because Sadie came all the off the table.  Dr B and I both dove for her but she was in the floor before we could do anything.

She had to go 3 days for shots but now she is eating.  He also gave me (well, sold me) some high calorie dry cat food.  It is made with green peas and duck.  Yeah, green peas and DUCK.  Two foods I wouldn't eat myself.

Yesterday when I came out of my doctor's office I found a kitten in the parking lot.  She had a collar with a tag that had a phone number.  I called the number but got a answering machine.  Two more ladies came around by then and we were trying to decide what to do.  Finally decided that I would take the cat to a vet just down the road and maybe they would keep it until they could get in touch with the owner.

They told me they would try, but if the owner wasn't reached or come to pick up the cat by the next day I would be expected to more or less become the owner as far as they were concerned.  That freaked me out.  I can not take another cat in right now.  Luckily several hours later they called and said the owner had been reached and had picked up the cat.  Whew!

I don't know about anyone else but when I am depressed my housework really suffers.  Then I get to feeling better and the house is a mess and I have no idea where to start to get it back in shape.  It seems hopeless.  I was telling this to someone and they told me about the 5 "rule".  You clean for 5 minutes at a time or did 5 things.  Doesn't sound like your going to do much but it gets you started.  G -- who is a hugh list maker -- says she makes a list (long list) of everything that needs to get done.  Then when you do the "5" you can mark off several things at a time.  When you look at your house you may not see much getting done, but if you look at the things you are able to mark off your list then you feel like you are accomplishing something.

Glad Sadie is eating. Poor girl didn't like the shot and I don't blame her. Her cat food sounds yucky. Ewww. Glad the owner of the cat you found picked up the cat.

Oh, so sorry to hear Sadie has been sick.  :(  But glad to hear she got a shot and she's on the mend.  Ewww on the duck and peas.  ::shudder::  I definitely don't do any cleaning when I'm depressed.. the house just goes to crap.  I try to do at least one run through the house each day, just to pick up things, and I save the heavy cleaning for when I'm feeling in a good mood.  Otherwise, it's folding clothes in the big chair in front of the TV and eating Oreos for me.  :P
