John's weekend assignment

Preview     This week's assignment is to post a picture that means something to us.  Souldn't be too hard.  But what picture to share?  I already had this one scanned in my computer so that is the one I have chosen.  It is a picture of me. Oh, you didn't think I was going to post a recent picture of me were you?  LOL

This picture was taken on my 3rd birthday.  It is one of the few pictures of me taken when I was little.  Oh, there are tons of my brother when he was little -- guess since he was the first born or something like that.  Mom says they didn't have a camera by the time I came along.

I had the dress that I was wearing up until fairly recently.  I washed it and it started to come apart.  Well it was kinda old.  LOL  I had it on a doll that I had gotten when I was little.  It was one of those big dolls that you could walk with.

Back to the picture.  The other pictures taken that day show me with my brother and our grandmother.  From the way it looks I was having a great time.  Even though in this picture I am trying to decide if I was laughing or crying.  The other's looked like laughing so that is what I say I am doing here.

What a great picture of you. Amazing how we change as we get older. Children are just so free about things when they are little. You were real cute. *Barb*

Kathy, you are so nostalgic! I love it with the frame you put around it. I love to get into old pics of myself and remember what it was like in my little world back then. Smiles

Super duper entry, Kathy!  My sister just made copies of my favorite picture from childhood, too.  I have GOT to get my scanner working!  she also had more pics taken of her (she's 6 years older)-- for a while, I thought I was adopted because mine were so far and few between.  Turns out my dad was in the War (II) when sis was young, so photos were necessary.  He never missed a moment of my bratty childhood. . . experienced it up close and personal.
