When pigs fly

Not a lot going on.  But I do love the flying pigs (above) that I found.  They kind of remind me of how.........I'm trying not to use the word stupid.........emptied headed?.....lack of brains?.......what is a good word/s for it?  How ------ can a person be?  My brother finally got around to asking why mom didn't just give him my aunt's house (the one taking forever to sell).  I guess you would have to know and understand family history to know that is the stupidest question he could have asked.  And not only stupid.........but like my dad said "even if it weren't for all that has happened why would we give one child a house and not the other one?  that wouldn't be fair."  But we really don't have to look at that question.

What you have to look at is: brother's wife HATES family. (Still haven't figured out why) Has done all she could to keep from talking.  Went years without seeing grandkids because of P.  Then they would pop up needed several hundred dollars for whatever, parents feel bad give money and not see or hear from them until years later when something is needed.  Hmm.....and now parents should give them a house all free and clear?  What is wrong with that picture?

I just discovered this cool show: Look What I did! Home & Garden Television  It's a 30 minute show where home owners show you some of the home improvements they did.  Today they showed this really crazy lady that re-did her shower with pieces of stones, colored rocks, just about anything that caught her eye.  And the ceiling of the shower was done from breaking up the old floor and putting it on the ceiling.  Wacky I tell you.  Then they had a story of a man and his 2 adult kids that built this masterpiece of a bar in their basement.  They didn't hire any help, just came up with an idea and worked on it during weekends.

Even though I hated the shower stall, I l like seeing some ways other people put their own special touches on their homes.  Sure most of us would never get our projects to look near as well as what you see on the tv, but then again who knows?  You don't know until you try.  Of course you aren't going to find me working on a huge project that involves the walls, floors, or ceiling of my house.  Nope, I would be the idiot that takes down a load bearing wall or something as dumb..........

I wasn't on line long yesterday.  I couldn't do a journal entry, and was unable to leave comments.  AOL really had me ill.....

This is an old tag, but I think it's cute.

Sorry about your rother and his wife. All families have similar situations, that is for sure. I saw tha program on HGTV! I agree thebathroom was not my style(actually it was ugly), but I ,too, admire anyone who can take on a huge job like that. It is, alas, not my bag. Margo

FAMILIES!  Can't live with them and can't live without them.  Or, can we?  Hi Kathy!  I am guilty of reading your journal but don't always comment.  But, the flying pigs I couldn't resist.  My daughter use to raise and breed pigs.  She has quite a collection of them in porcelain, wood, clay, cloth, etc.  These you have featured here are adorable.  Where did you find them?
Take care, K.  From my heart to yours with nothing but good thoughts.

Families....SO DIFFICULT!  It's a pre-packaged drama we must all deal with.

Now on to the important stuff!  LOL  GILMORE GIRLS!!  I hated tonight's episode because it was just so fragmented and all over the place.  But.  But I liked the preview of next week's episode where Lorelei finally gets rid of Chris.
