Could be having bad weather tomorrow.......brrrrrr

No rants today.  At least not yet!  I am still trying to upload some graphics but AOL isn't working with me.  Guess you get what you pay for.  LOL

The town in which I live (that sounds weird......) is getting ready for some nasty winter weather coming our way.  In fact they have already called off school for tomorrow -- and nothing has fallen from the sky as of yet.  They have even called in more line men (the power company) to be in town for power outages.

I wasn't worried when I heard the weather.  But now with them calling off school and calling in more power people I'm starting to get a bit nervous.  It has been a few years since I lost power because of a storm (ice of course) and I had to be without for almost a week!  Now if it had been during the summer it would have been one thing, but in the winter is something else.  My cats were cold, I was freezing.  Oh gesh, that's not going to happen again, right?  right?

I watch only 1 soap opera (never knew why they called them that) and now I hear that it has been canceled.  Canceled?  A soap?  Goodness.  It still has a few months before the end but I am a tad po'd.  Oh I can live with out it, but if what a show for years and years you kind of hate to see it go.

Well the finale of Top Chef is tonight.  Can't wait to see who wins.  I would have never thought it would be between the 2 that it is.  I so thought Sam would win but they sent him packing last week.

Well I am behind in my journal reading, and if the power blips tomorrow I will be futher behind, but I'm still here plugging along.

Take care.  Pray that NC won't get hit with the weather they are calling for (as we always seemed to get more ice than snow).  Behave.  Tell someone you love that you do indeed love them.  Hug a cat/dog/bunny/furry animal (and that includes the Lump Russ! :) )

I do hope the weather isn't as bad as they think.  Maybe all of it is just precautions and it won't be that horrible.
Here in So Calif,  we have these awful storms predicted sometimes and then we get nothing.  Other times, they'll say we're having mild weather and we get HIT with rain.  Crazy.
Stay safe.

They call them soap-operas because, in the old days when they first began, laundry soap companies were their primary advertisers for women who were stay-at-home moms. Soaps are firing a lot of good actors to get cheap ones these days. I watch All My Children and all the great actors are being let go one by one. It seems, soap operas aren't as popular as they once were and they lose money from them, so they are hiring a bunch of kids, hoping to attract the teenagers.

Hope you don't get bad weather. My son lives not far from you too. Gotta keep that power on!!!!! I remember a long time ago when my kids were young, I had no power for about five days in an ice storm. My husband went to work, my kids got warm at school and froze my but off.

Good luck with the weather.  I hope it passes by.  Indiana continues in a bitter cold snap.  I cannot get warm.

Sounds like you're going to get the same weather we are having.  Sleet, freezing rain and temps right at freezing.  Mixture for disaster.  Let's just hope it passes quickly and doesn't do a whole lot of damage

I hope you guys haven't gotten bad weather.  Our schools were on a two-hour delay today, and they're expecting more bad weather tonight, but it hasn't been too bad so far.
