Rain drops keep falling on my head.........

I was thinking the storm we had last night was part of the hurricane.  Wrong.  Or maybe it was part of the outter bands of the storm heck I don't know.  I do know that I was off line most of the afternoon and into the night because of thunder and lighting.

Today the skies were dreary looking and around lunch time the rain started in again.  It's been pretty heavy at times.  Part of NC have gotten tons of wind with trees down all over some counties.

Other than wind and rain not much is going on around here.  Was looking forward to Big Brother tonight (as 2 people are supposed to get kicked out of the house) but because of some ballgame BB won't be seen until 2:30AM in my area.  Bummer.

Is there something in your everyday life that makes you happy?  I mean no matter what there is one thing that happens that will always give you a smile no matter what?  Me?  Whenever I go any where whenever I get home (no matter what the time, how long I have been gone) when I open my front door my cats come running to meet me.  Usually one or the other is right there at the door with the other one running into the room.  Never fails.

Now that might not seem much to some of you, but I live alone and it is wonderful to have someone (even if they have 4 legs and fur) to meet me at the door.

Sometimes when I walk up the front walk I can see my kitties looking out of one of the front windows.  By the time I have the door open there they are!  They are so sweet.

It's getting late (well it's still early I know) so I need to shut up and catch up on some mail.

Take care.  If you are the east coast stay safe and dry!

I completely understand 4-legged furry friends.  I generally prefer them over the human kind.

My pets make me happy, angry, sad, enraged -- maybe because they are my children.  But I'm glad to have them.  I don't think I'd have survived some of my worst times if it weren't for them.  Stay safe and dry!!

Oh yes, I have a furry friend who gives me a smile every day.  Well, the kids do too, but it's a different kind of smile!  LOL

Kathy, Hope you stay dry and have power. I watched BB last night. Because of the Jerry Lewis Telethon we won't get Sunday's BB until 2:07 AM on Tuesday. I hate it when they do that to us. For me, it is Libby and my two big dogs. If I am out and come home all three greet me like they have been waiting days. It is always good to feel loved. My Regards, Bill.

I know what you mean about the pets.  My son's doggie is happy to see us no matter what.  Unconditional love.
Know what makes me smile? A nice hot cup of coffee in the morning with my flavored creamer in it.  Ummmmm...

Hey Kath - it's almost 9 pm in NJ and we're about to get hit.  Doesn't seem too bad as yet, just flooding expected.  Weather's gone crazy.  xoxo CATHY

sorry about the storms. I must say we are having beautiful weather here in IL. Around mid 70's and all sun. Hope it last the long weekend. Even though I have a husband and 3 kids. My dog barks likes hes being hurt when he hears my car in the driveway. He's my buddy. I love when he jumps on me at the door.
