I'm not sure how it happened but something I wrote gave a couple of people the wrong idea about what this celebration is about. So I'd like to clarify that what we plan to celebrate is the 3rd anniversary of the 'birth' of AOL Journals. It is not about awards. We just want to have a sort of cyber birthday celebration for AOL Journals which will officially be 36 months old on August 21st.

Joe, our Journals Editor, has agreed to work on the AOL Three Years graphic. Some other special graphics are in the works and will be shared in a couple of days.  I would like to challenge all of the folks in J-Land who are talented at making graphics to join in and create some special 3rs anniversary graphics that can be shared with the community....something we can dress our journals up with over the next couple of weeks as we celebrate the 3rd birthday of AOL Journals.

Please stay tuned for more details and please keep sending in your ideas on how we can cyber-celebrate the fact that AOL Journals has thrived and survived for 36 months!

The above was posted over at Vivian's Journal.  Just thought I would post it here also.  Someone left a comment saying they "didn't quailify" because they haven't been here the entire 3 years.  You don't NEED to have been here for so long.  The fact that you are now in J-land means you too are part of the celebration. 
As far as I know Vivian may have left J-land for ahwile, but I don't think she blogged anywhere else.  Just just quit online journaling altogether.  Hopefully the celebration may bring her and others back home where they belong.

There are other J-landers involved in the planning of the celebration and they need all the help they can get.  So please leave ideas and suggestions at Vivians, here, and over at Betty's.
