Hello! How is everyone? I'm doing ok. The doctor has me slowly coming off one med while slowly getting on another. Right now I feel kind of weird. Can't really explain it but I am guessing its the meds. I can live with this, just feel weird.
What's going on in your corner of the world? Here? Lots. Well maybe not lots but more than the usual boring stuff. Where to start?
I'll start with my babies. I decided it was time for both kitties to get a nail trim and I thought Sophie might have fleas. Usually I take them separately but today I decided they would both go at the same time. I couldn't have them both loose in the car so I put them in a carrier. Yep, 2 cats each weighing a little over 9 pounds in 1 carrier. Boy was it HEAVY!
Sophie didn't want to be touched at the vet and little miss Maggie was so good. Sure enough Sophie has fleas (and Maggie has a few also but not as bad as Sophie). So they both got some flea treatments put on. Right now Sophie seems more miserable than before. Guess the dying fleas are not going quitely!
Next on the news front. Mom fell sometime late yesterday evening (no one bothered to tell me until today and that really made me mad). Don't think she broke anything but she has a HUGE brusie and swelling and a lump. I have tried to tell her she needs to have it checked out. But the old lady is STUBBORN! Says if it is still bothering her next week she will go to a doctor. I'm worried about blood clots or maybe a fracture, she is worried about getting a bath before going to a doctor.
Last bit of news. Last night I saw a police car next door. You see a police car and you HAVE to know what is going on. Don't you? I sure do. LOL
Seems that someone had tried to steal C's car (probably the night before but they were just realizing it last night). She had parked it on the street which isn't what she normally does. Anyway she went to move it and found all these wires torn loose and the face plate of the stereo.
Thanks to all the wires that were pulled lose the car can't be driven right now. The police thinks someone was trying to hotwire it.
Come to find out T that lives futher up the road had his car stolen late last week.
Great we have a car thief loose in the neighborhood. At least my car is old enough that they probably wouldn't want it! Hope not!
As long as we don't have people breaking in houses I'll be ok. I have never felt unsafe but now I worry some about what if someone breaks in and I'm here asleep or something.
If any break ins start to happen I will have to think really seriously about a dog. I don't want any guns, they scare me too bad. I used to have a baseball bat beside the bed but I don't know what ever happened to it.

What's happening in J-land? Our 3rd year anniversary is what! A chat is being planned for August the ....... oops, forgot the date. The 20th or 21st whichever is a Sunday.
Lots more going on too. Doesn't matter if you are new to J-land, if you live "across the pond", if you have an AOL Journal you are invited to participate!

Ah, poor kitties......and you're poor back.
As for thieves, you know they have these new "alarms: that you just stick to your front door and put on windows and if anyone even touches the doors or windows, they go off. They don't cost that much either. You could probably get a package of eight at Home Depot for about 35 dollars.

ww sorry to hear about your mom that is bad soudns like a a big bruise. the 20th is sunday. soudns wonderful so much going on with j land anniversary
I also pray you get your meds figured out. Feeling out of kelter is just hard to deal with
I do hope your Mom is ok after her fall, it must be a worry for you. I`m the same when I see a police car, it`s human nature I suppose! :o)

Hope you get settled with your new meds. Always fun and games with cats innit. I wont easily forget the time one of mine ESCAPED from its carrier on the way to the vet.
Hope those fleas get sent a packin! LOL

happy the dogs are getting there flees taken care of. Sorry about your mom falling. I hope she's ok. Hopefully the meds. won't make you feel wierd for to long. How scary that you have someone breaking in cars. Hopefully they will get the people soon.
