Just random stuff

Not much going on around here so I thought I would just write about random stuff.

Now I just have to think of some random stuff!  LOL

*My very first boyfriend called me last year.  He was going through his 3rd divorce.  I figured there must be something wrong with him so I wouldn't meet up with him (he lives across the state line).

*One summer a few years ago I saw this really pityful cat outside a diner.  No one was doing anything for it so I picked it up and took it to the vet.  He had been someone's pet as he had be neutered and front claws declawed.  But it was obvious he had been out and on his own for awhile.  He did ok at the vet, but when I brought him home (kept him shut in my bedroom until I was sure he didn't have anything my other cats could get) he kept having dirrea.  After visits to the vet and all kinds of meds Dr B and I decided it was best to put him down.  I cried like I had owned that cat for years instead of just a few weeks.  I had named him Elmer.  Why Elmer?  Because when he ate he would get food stuck all over his face -- kind of like elmer's glue.

*One month from today I will be a year older.  Remember this tid bit because I won't mention it again.

This dude isn't dancing for any reason.  I just thought it was cute and needed something to break up my entry a little.

*When I was little I left my bike in the driveway behind the car.  To this day I still think my dad ran over it on purpose.  But he denies it.

*My grandmother -- on mom's side -- and one of my aunts  -- on dad's side -- died the same day and was buried on the same day in different cities.  We went to both funerals. My aunt's family arranged the funeral time so it would be later than grandma's so we could make it.  It was really hard and exhausting.

*Funerals are so different for each side of the family.  Mom's side is quite, reserved, don't break into a smile or laugh someone might see and think ??? Think what I don't know.  My dad's side of the family funerals are like mini family reunions (as none of them live all that close to each other) and while it is a somber time, everyone is talking, laughing and basically having a good time.

*I've never had lots of friends.  Just one or two at a time.  And they always deserted me when I needed them the most.  I am lousy at picking friends and men.

Well I think this has been long enough.  And I managed to depress myself with it.  Still listening to the top worst songs of all time.  Right now they are playing Wannabe by the Spice Girls.

Having dreams and cravings for this:

We have something in common, my BD is next month too! (the 26th) :)
I've never had many friends either, you'd think I would...beimg as I'm very outgoing & friendly BUT I'm also very straight forward to the point & tell it like it is, lots of people don't like that! I mostly have aquaintances.
Have a good week sweetie.
Hugs, Sugar

Lots of tidbits. Took me forever to read because the print was minute! Geez.

Anyway, I truly believe that some people "think" they have lots of friends but what they have are lots of acquantances. Friends are the people that don't let you down and love you when you are low or having a great time and.....they stick around. A therapist once told me that a person is lucky to have had ONE true friend in a lifetime.

The story of Elmer broke my heart.  Why do people abandon animals like that??!!  Take some of that tenderness you showed Elmer and apply it yourself.  You need a Russ hug!

Hi Kathy! I'm glad I found your journal through positive pals. Well, the entry did not depress me. That was so sad about the kitty. So many of our families of orign were not the best....so don't feel like the Lone Ranger! Love, Sassy ;-)
