Sunday 7

Picture from Hometown

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Pull a couple of items off your pantry and cupboard shelves.  Pick items that you eat fairly regularly.  (You might be able to get seven answers from one single item, depending on what you choose.)  Now list up to seven things in the Ingredients that you don't recognize.  It's an interesting way to see what you're eating...whether you like it or not!

1  ferrous sulfate

2  thiamine mononitrate

3  disodium phosphate

4  enzyme modified cheedar cheese (ok, I know what cheedar cheese is, but is enzyme modified?)

6

7

Hey, I know what the rest of the stuff is.  My list only has 4, should I go get another can of something?

The first one is an iron and sulfer compound. The second one is a B1 compound. It is usually in powdered drink stuff. Th third on I hope is a cleaning product as it is a posion! Enzyme modified cheese is cheese that has been hurried up. It is has an certain enzyme added to it to speed up the process of milk curdling into cheese. Unless your cheese says natural aged it has gone thru this process.
Sorry. I took chemistry classes and for some reason it stuck with me! Must be preparing for Jeporady! LOL

It was very interesting for me to read your list and the comments on what everything is. I guess I never really thought about it. That's why I prefer to go to the farm and pick veggies and fruits but we don't get a chance to do that to often these days.
