Things went ok with the lawyer. He thinks we might
be able to keep Aunt E's house. This is good news.
I have been going to my aunt's house trying to
clean and see just what to do with her stuff. It
feel really weird. And now my dad is afraid to
get rid of any of her stuff because he says "what
if she does get better and can come home?" The
answer to that is no. She will never be able to
live by herself again. But I can understand his
thinking. The fact is we have time to just do
nothing with her stuff. Reality is that her house
needs a lot of cleaning and could use a coat of
paint. I don't see a problem with cleaning and
packing up most (if not all) of her stuff. Sooner
or later she will give us a clearer sign that she
is bad enough and not getting any better. Right
now she has some good times and bad times.
When you get there and she is lucid you have to
wonder if you are doing the right thing. Then
you go and she doesn't know what year it is.......
Saw my shrink yesterday. Told him that my
sugar levels have been up. Come to find out
one of the meds he has me on can cause that!
Why did he never tell me that? So I tell him
I'm coming off of it. He's like slow down a
minute. We will taper you off. Says now is
not the time for me to have a major set back.
Well you can say that again. I am expecting a
minor set back though. I already feel more
like crying and I have only missed one pill.
Good news? Got a perm today. Nothing like
having something done to your hair to make
you feel better. And there is always craziness
going on in "beauty palors". Some lady told
another to be nice because it's Christmas.
Someone else yelled so why do you have to
be nice at Christmas? Like is it a rule or
something? Another lady was telling someone
that the devil was going to get her, someone
else chimes in with "yeah, he has already gotten
Cheryl". What crazy people.
Hope all is well with you guys. For some of you
I know it isn't and I am keeping you in my
prayers.

Glad you can keep your Aunt's house. It is so hard to have to deal with this kind of thing. Have a dear friend who got it several years ago. She died five years ago but it was horrible losing her by degrees. We'd been like sisters, best friends for over 12 years, Then she got ALzheimers' and it was really devestating.* Pills* Hate taking them too. Doctors never get them regulated. I know its hard sometimes but they are still trying to regulate my b/p pills. Meanwhile I'm feeling horrible. Praying for you still hon..and good deal, Lucille, as my husband says. LOL
A new perm always lifts my spirits. Hugs. *Barb*
oh I know all about meds messing with BG's.

WELL its good news she can keep her house. Even if she cant go back it needs to be there for her. I dont know how you pick a screen name and redo FTP> I just delete some stuff to I can use mine. I mean That dont make sense why cant we just put the stuff in like copy and paste. FTP dont save me nothing cuase I end up having to deletge it event ually Lori
Hey there. Yeah, the beauty parlors are something. You never know what they'll say next. Mine used to talk a lot and now she won't hardly say anything. I always wonder if she's depressed or the others just don't like her. Who knows.
Hope you get the meds like you need them. I know it is not funny but you gave me a chuckle when you said "now's not the time to be havin' a setback". I can just hear you telling the doc that!

Good news about your Aunt's house. I understand how you feel about packing her things and so on. It's been a rollercoaster for you, but you've done a wonderful job.
Hugs to you my friend.

The illness your Aunt has is so very cruel. But from my own experience, you are absolutely doing the right thing for her. Well done to you for standing by and organising things for her Sandra x

LOL I am already prepared to run out of space. Gonna use my hubby's name LOLOL I think you are doing the right thing by your Aunt. it is hard on your Dad because she is still alive and ususally this is done at death. It is better to take care of this now. The packing is right. If you just leave it there someone will break in and get the stuff. It does not take long for the crooks to find out when someone is gone. My prayers are still with you.
Ive came across your journal various times, but never really left a comment, so this is my frist one! =)
