Weekend Assignment

As for John's weekend assignment:

A book that would tell people what I am like?  That is hard.  I think I would say the book "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" by Stephen King.  The story is that of a little girl that gets lost.  She, her mom, and her brother are on a nature trail.  As always the brother is arguing with the mom.  Girl has to use the bathroom, so she steps off the path into the woods.  And gets lost.  The book is then about how she tries to find her way out of the woods.  She spends days lost, and has to find food, water, and shelter at night.  There are times when she feels she is being watched and at times is sure she must be hallucinating.  While she is lost the world (or her little corner of it) is looking for her.  In the end she finds her way out of the woods by herself.

I think this is like me because the girl is trying to find her way and has to look after herself at the same time.  My life seems to be like that.  I feel lost and I know people are reaching out to me, but I have to find my way by myself.

Extra points:  A book that was recommended to me that I didn't like?  Don't remember the name of the book but I know my brother is all like "you'll love it!".  It was by horror writer Clive Barker.  I didn't like it.  Don't like anything Clive Barker writes.  Sorry Mr Barker.

The artwork above was done by fellow journaler.  Her name is Judith Heartsong and her journal is called Judith HeartSong. She was nice enough to let me share her art with my readers.  Check out her journal, and her home page that shows more of her work here.

Hi!!

Congrats on making the top 5!!  The artwork is amazing.  That Stehpen King book seems to describe me pretty well, also.  At least in your words it does.

I don't blame you, I don't like horror books either.

Just found your journal.  I can't read it all right now, but I will be back to catch up.  I like what I see.  Hope all is well. --Scott
