Strange that this weeks assignment comes after I do a "rerun" on the same topic. I will give an over veiw. If you want to read the story in more depth go to my rerun entry at: My little Sadie
My story about Sadie. This past January I was driving down the road and saw what I thought was a little kitten. I kept driving but couldn't get the picture out of my mind. I drove back, got out the car, walked up to this little black ball of fur. Little black ball of fur looked up at me and meowed.
I couldn't leave little ball of fur on side of road (a few days later we had a bad winter storm) so I scoop it up and drive to my vet. Kitten is a female about 3 months old, weighs 1.5 pounds (about a pound underweight), and has an upper respitory infection.
Leave fur ball at the vets to get checked out and treated will I decide on what to do. My cat home is 18 years old and had this to say about me bringing someone else home:
Not a happy camper huh?
I go back to the vet to find that the reciptonist has named my little fur ball "snotty" as it is covered from one end to the other with that stuff. Gotta have a better name. I put out a plea and fellow journaler karnesull12 comes up with a winner. Sadie.
This is Sadie after being cleaned up and me bringing her home:
So cute.
Sadie has had her ups and downs. All kinds of meds and countless trips to the vet. Finally over her infection and we discover she has something wrong with her esphogus. It has these spasims that I find very scarey. They interfer with her breathing.
This little ball of fur has won my heart and the hearts of everyone at the vets. Her weight has been up and down, but I finally have her on some food that has her steadly gaining weight. She is up to a whomping 4.5 pounds. Dr B wants her to about 6 pounds.
This picture is Sadie this past May:
Adorable or what?
And with Dr B (don't have permission to show his face)
With Dallas. Hard to get a picture of them together:
I really should do an entry on other pet sometime huh? Like the female dog I had named Jeremiah. ChiChi the siamese cat that never forgot that K picked up one of her kittens, or when she chased a dog out of the yard....

I remember reading your entries about Sadie. She's such a cutey. Glad to hear she is doing better. :-) ---Robbie
I love your cats, both are lovely, Sadie, what a little cutie she is. Several months ago I moved and had to give my cats up, one recently died. I've been heartbroken, but I couldn't bring them with me where I lived now, no pets. So I live vicariously though other's pets now.
Love, Penny
I'm LMAO atthe pic of your other cat the day you brought Sadie home! And waitaminute! You have MORE pets? LOL! Um. YEAH you should write about them. All this time I thought you only had two cats! LOL! :-)
Wish I knew how to get my pictures to do like yours. When I put them in the body of the journal it doesn't show up later. Wonder what I'm doing wrong???? I can get google images to stay, and can get them to go under AOL pictures at the beginning of the journal, but NOT in the body of the journal. Is there a trick. My photos are coming off of Kodak software, so that may have something to do with why it doesn't work with them when I copy and paste. Love the cat pics!!!!
Sadie is adorable, she's probably one of the most adorable cats I've ever seen! I read your story of how you got her, you're such a softie. Does your other cat like her now? Btw, I like her name!
