Sorry that I have been gone for a couple of days. I have a fairly good reason:
sore throat, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, yep, a really good bad cold. But I am feeling better, thank you very much.
Thanks to everyone that had advice on keeping fish. I just couldn't wait any longer so I went today and bought some. Got some really pretty guppies. Why is it that the males are the pretty ones?
Just heard on the radio that singer Ray Charles had died. What a shame, he was a great singer.
John -- Rocketman -- gave me a link for English Slang. Quite a few of the words would mean something TOTALLY different here in the USA. Go and check it out it is worth the "agro" you might be "Chuffed", after all you don't want to "Drive you round the bend/up the wall " when you read an UK journal . "Get your skates on!"

I did not know that!!! I'm glad that you are feeling better. Good luck with your fishies. ~Holly
Sorry you weren't feeling well and I hope you're taking that echinacia to soften the blow of illness. It simply devastated me about Ray Charles.. another genius gone. When all the headlines were about Ronald Reagun, honestly I couldn't care less (because I never liked him anyway.) But I really feel the loss with Ray gone. ¤Holly
I will miss THE MAN! Glad you're feeling better. Take care of yourself and have a restful weekend...gloria
the loss of Reagan did not move me much but I loved Ray Charles
Hello, I read the link about english slang, and being an engish person myself, I'd just like to say - have of them words I didn't even understand!! hehe! So, don't believe everything you hear.
By the way, great journal, I've loved reading it.
Love, hugs and all things PINK!
