outlook express help needed

I have never been able to use the Outlook Express mail thing on my computer.  Call me dumb, but it just ain't working.  I keep getting this message:

The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I have no idea what that means, how to fix it, where to go to get help or anything.  If anyone knows what is going on please email me or leave a comment here.  I think it is finally time for me to figure out what is wrong and get it fixed.

Thanks.

 Kathy

Careful with Outlook. It is virus prone.

I don't know what I'm doing most of the time and when I do something right it's merely by accident.  Hope you find your way around it.  Thanks so very much for your prayers.  They are good for one's soul.  love and blessings...gloria

The message means that you mistyped your POP3 (incoming) mail server name in account properties in Outlook Express. You can get the correct POP3 mail server name from your ISP. - K. :)
