While at a MSN group that I am a member of I saw a comment left by someone that had seen the video of the American Nick Berg being beheaded in Iraq.
Is this something that I want to see? Why would I want to see it? What good would it do? Would I have nightmares for years to come from seeing it?
What do you think? Have you seen the video? Do you want to see it? Why would you want to see it? If you have seen it how did you cope with what you saw?
I don't want to get into a political debate about the war. I just want to know your feelings about seeing THIS video. Have you seen it? Do you want to see it? Why?

I may accidentally see it on TV But dont know that I want to. Lori
Oh, I saw the video on aol broadband, over at my friends house. Even I made an entry about it a few days ago, I seriusly do not want to see that again.
My mother saw the video. I went to her house and she was bawling. She had been for two hours. She asked if i wanted to see it, i said no. She proceeded to give me the horrible graphic details and just from what she told me, i don't know if i will be able to watch it.

Yes, I've seen it not that I wanted to, but I clicked on to someones journal & he had photos up- it was the first thing you saw. It's sickening & saddening.
I have seen it yes. I felt compelled. Not sure why. I did realize, while watching it, that I felt nothing. Shouldn't I have felt something?

I spoke with a friend about whether we wanted to see it or not. One one hand, I feel compelled to watch, mych as I felt on 911, to honor the jumpers, as well as the service people and innocent workers killed that day...to honor them, to love them and stand by them at the hour of their death, so that they did not meet death alone, even if I am a faceless viewer miles away. On the other hand, just the clip that the networks showed of the terrorist drawing his sword and jerked Mr. Berg's head back, that alone has haunted me constantly. I can't watch it. for now.
God bless Mr. Berg, and his family. My prayers are with them.

No I have not seen it, nor do I want to. I have never gained pleasure from horror movies or any act of violence. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to see that or be attracted to it. It's SICK.......this is a real human being, not even a soldier, a civilian. The family must be devastated that there are people all over the world watching his death on a video. Disgusting.
