I am only sending like 5 Christmas cards this year so instead of getting the boxed kind I decided to spend the extra $$$ and get individual cards. What I wasn't planning on was the cost of the ones I really wanted.
Yes Russ I bought Hallmark. And thanks to the cost of the ones I bought your (Russ) retirement should be safe.
I bought those new musical ones. They are great. I LOVE them!!!!! I hate that they are about $5.00 a piece! I would never spend more than $3.00 on a card, but these are great. I even bought one that wasn't Christmas because it was so funny (the one with Gilda Radner on it Russ).
Hopefully the recipients of said cards will love them as much as I have.
Next unrelated subject:
While driving down the road the other day my dad and I spot a deer -- dead deer laying on the side of the road. I would have NEVER thought there could be a deer in this part of town. Where the heck did it come from? It was beautiful (although dead) and a rather large deer.
Things like seeing dead animals on the side of the road bothers me. If I don't stop thinking of it I will end up in tears. Well dad goes on and on about this deer (which I did call the police to have someone come pick up -- the deer not my dad --) and I am starting to cry and I finally snap at him: I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE!
Dad knows that I am a cry baby. I have a HUGE heart for animals and will cry over them being hurt, abused, and yeah, lying dead on the side of the road.
Ok -- trying my first little poll here. Hope it works. I wish they gave you a choice of more than 2 answers. Oh well...

((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))))))Boy,you did spend alot of thoes Christmas cards,I am sure your family and friends will love them.I am sorry about the Derr,it is sad,we see alot of them on our road,people go so fast.Sometmes they get hurt and we see them in our yard.But we also get to see so many beatiful Deers,alot of times,they are familys.So close to our door.Have a nice Sunday/week ahead.
Sorry about your experience with the deer. It's been a while since I put a poll in my journal, but there is a way to have more than two responses. Once I purchased a game online. The only problem I found with it, is if the pc crashes and you can't access your harddrive, well the game is lost. No backup, no installation CD. - Barbara
You can add more than two choices of answers. When you are making the poll you ill notice a plus and minus sign next to the two boxes they give you. If you click on the plus sign it will add another box. I've done as many as five. And I know you can do six because I thought I wanted to do that once and changed my mine. Hitting the minus sign got rid of the box I decided not to use.
Yes, it does make me sad, especially if it's a dog or cat that I'm pretty sure was someone's pet. We were driving through the middle of town one day this summer and a deer ran out from beside an Arby's (!!!) and almost collided with our car. Now that was weird.

I haven't even thought about Christmas Cards. Thanks for the reminder. I will most likely just pass again like last year. I buy too many and I just keep sending them to everyone. Last year I stopped and it did help the budget.
I think I'll send out some nice e-cards.
