Could it be another entry? Why yes! Be still my heart. LOL

I realize that if you have one mouse in your house you probably have at least 2.  Whoever heard of a lone mouse? :)

So should I be shocked to walk into the kitchen and see Maggie with a mouse hanging out of her mouth? Well yeah!  A freaky looking site.  I just turned around and left the room.  Not the most mature way to hand things huh?

I decided to just nature take its course.  Yup the next day I find both cats sitting and staring at the poor little creature.  It was still alive!  But it didn't look so good.  I thought it was near death and got it up in a dust pan.  I took it and thew it out in the yard.  It landed belly up and didn't move.  Good it's dead.  Or is it?  I look out of the window a few times and it's still there laying belly up.  Then about an hour later it's gone.  Did it not die and get up an make a run for it?  Or did the neighbor's cat get it? Humm.......

I hope to never see a mouse hanging out of my cat's mouth again!  So weird and "horror movie" looking.

Got word that my cousin left her husband of some 20 years.  She said it had been coming but the "straw that broke the camel's back" was last year when she accidently burned down the house.  Yes, you read that right  -- she burned down the house, to the ground, totally, everything gone, poof.  And her hubby won't forgive, forget, ect......

S didn't mean to burn anything.  She had something on the stove and she and her husband was talking about the tractors or whatever and they went outside and forgot about the burner on the stove......somehow the pan caught fire and before they knew it the house was on fire.  They live in the country so it took a little while before the fire trucks got there and then it was too late.

I say the bigger idot was the husband.  Why?  They had just built the house and didn't have insurance on it.  I have no idea who, what, or why, but I say husband was working making the money and therefore he should have been the one to make sure they had insurance.  Well I guess it was partly up to S also.  I just feel so bad for her.  Hey she's blood relative and the husband isn't so I have to still up for her!  LOL

Just me again

I went to the GYN this week.  He thinks I would be crazy without some HRT at my age.  So we are cutting the dose in half to see if I can handle it and if it does any good for my blood work.  Dr also suggested I try 1000 mg twice a day of Flaxseed Oil.  He knows of 2 people that have definitely seen their blood work improve with taking it.  So  I'll give it a shot.  I will have my blood checked again in a couple of months.

Passions fans!  There is someone bloging about the show here:  Passions Fans  Looks like the killed Fox off.  Wonder who did it?  There is also an online petition to get the show back, but I doubt it would work:  PASSIONS keep it on nbc.com | YouChoose  Personally I wouldn't bother but ya never know.

I am so behind in reading everyone's journals.  I have got to figure out a way to catch up -- and a way to get myself back online more often!!  My parents are like "you spent so much buying a computer and paying to be online so be online!  Get your butt off the couch and do something".  LOL  Gotta love the parents.  Even though they are getting older, have more aches and pains, some problems with memory, they still ask me every couple of days if I have been online.  Bless their hearts.  :)

Sophie and Maggie are fine.  They had the most excitement ever the other night (read the entry about one less mouth to feed).  They are as beautiful as ever.  I am such a proud furr-mommie!  LOL

One Less Mouth To Feed

It is quite today.  Everyone is peaceful.  Thinking of all the fun that was being had the other night.  Well, fun for all but one.  And he bravely gave his life for the others.

I had known for awhile that I had more than just me and the cats living in my house.  Yep, I had at least 1 mouse.  Had.

I heard all this commotion while sitting on the couch watching TV, and suddenly I see this small little mouse running for its life and Sophie and Maggie (my 2 cats if you didn't know) right on the mouse's little heels.

I let out an "OMG" and pulled my feet up on the couch.  Then I just watched as the trio ran around and under things.  I wasn't real sure what I should do.  I don't think I could have caught the little mouse and what would I do with it if I caught it?

Off they all run into another room.  After awhile I can hear the mouse squeaking.  I am hoping and praying it is just calling out for help and not being eatten alive by the cats.

Yes I wanted the mouse gone, but I didn't want it's exit to be a very painful and horrible one.

I go to bed and wake up in the morning with the cats hissing at each other.  They never do that.  Oh, I see.....in walks Maggie with "her" mouse.  She drops the poor dead little animal and lays on top of it.  Clearly it is her mouse and she ain't going to share her new play toy.

Looking at the mouse you can tell it's dead, no blood or bite marks.  The cats just "played" with it until it had a heart attack and died I guess.  Now they still don't want to eat it, just play with it.  Well I am sorry I can't have them playing with a dead mouse!

I still didn't know what to do with the poor thing.  I ended up just throwing it out in the back yard.  I felt bad about it, but hey maybe some other critter can make a meal off it.

I should not feel guilty or bad for the mouse.  But I do.  I think I must have at least one more because the cats are still sittingand staring at the cabinets...........and even though I feel guilty I will let them "take care of" that one too.

It's just a stupid soap opera!!!

So my "soap" Passions hasn't left NBC quite yet.  But towards the middle of September it will be moving to DirectTV.  I won't begetting DirectTV just to keep up with a dumb show.  Now what was I going to say......Oh, on today's show Theresa is in the hospital room with Ethan (who is in a coma -- poisoned strawberries that were meant for Theresa by her "dead" husband, but of course Ethan ate them), who is on oxygen -- lights candles in the room.  Are you following all of this?  LOL  Anyway who lights candles in a hospital room?  And with oxygen going at the same time?

Smack me on the side of my head: IT'S A SOAP OPERA STUPID!!!!!  I have to smack myself from time to time while watching the show.  Soap opera's don't always fit reality.  And with Passions resident witch and "demons in the basement" why would anyone think twice of things like this?  LOL

Got word from my medical doctor about my blood work.  Sigh.  Everything (well just about) is high.  But his concern is my triglycerides.  Huh?  Ok I read up on it and still am like Huh?  Anyway Dr wants me to go to my GYN to see about stopping my HRT (hormone replacement thearpy).  I don't know how good of an idea that is.  I guess I'll go to my GYN and see what he says.  But I see problems coming if I stop the HRT.

I am also being reviewed by the long term disability insurance people.  I hate reviews.  I know I can't work, heck the entire world probably knows it but I still have to prove it from time to time and it's scary.

Ain't life fun?  ha ha

Here's a cute link someone sent me: 25 worlds weirdest animals.  I don't see "anyone" I know from J-land on there.  I don't post my picture for fear someone would spot me on a list like this one!  LOL

Love ya,

Kathy
