Just me and my tonsils here. LOL

Next Thursday me and my HUGE tonsils go to see the ears/nose/throat doctor.  So looking forward to it.......NOT

If you want to learn more about tonsils go here: WebMD Health Search  If you go here:  Sleep Apnea Study | Obstructive Sleep Apnea | Central Sleep Apnea it tells about sleep apnea which can be caused by large tonsils.  At the bottom of the page it gives some of the worst side effects for sleep apnea.  Like this:

Untreated sleep apnea can increase the chance of having high blood pressure and even a heart attack or stroke. Untreated sleep apnea can also increase the risk of diabetes and the risk for work-related accidents and driving accidents.

Reguardless I'm going to get it checked out.  If, IF I have to have surgery you will know it from the whiney way I get when told I have to have surgery.  I worry about NOT waking up after the surgery and about dad having to come and feed my babies while I am in the hospital.  I've have lots of surgery's and the pain afterwards isn't something I worry about.  I can handle pain pretty good -- but being sick?  I always think I'm going to die when I get sick.  I'm such a wennie!  LOL

As for my alergy I have only had 1 Claritin pill and it hasn't done anything but I really didn't expect it to, I'm guessing it will take a few days or a week to see a difference.

Lots of other little things to share.  Don't know that I'll get to them all in this entry.  So I'll pick and choose a few things.......

Mom said the other day she felt like she looked old (I think it's the cane she has started to finally use) and I said well mom you are 75 years old.  LOL  She didn't seem to care for that  comment.  LOL

While at the eye doctor with  Mom........everytime the doctor turned away from Mom to make notes she would start to make faces.  When the doctor left the room I told Mom that the older she gets the cranker and *itchier she gets.  She then informed me that I too will get *itchier as I age.  LOL  I told this to my dad and he said he didn't want to see me any *itchier!   LOL

But really the older Mom gets the more her personality changes.  She used to never be out spoken and now you should here the way she talks to doctors!

This is a long entry so I'll shut up.  I'll save some more little things for another entry.

Take care.  Hug somebody.

Kathy

I'm on your mom's side on this. You will get itchier. LOL!

Yes, it does take Claritin a few days to work. Probably about three or four but it does work. I liked it but it made me sleepy.

I will keep ya in my thoughts and prayers girlfriend....if you should have them taken out just look at the bright side...you get to eat all the ICE CREAM you want...at least that is what I got to do when the docs removed mine...I was only 8 but ice cream is ice cream no matter what age you are...lol
Take care of you......OH BTW...I take claritin...it does take about a month for it to build up in your system...but it works great for me....so hang in there.

I still think it's weird that your tonsils are inflamed and yet you seldom have sore throats.  You need to ask that doctor on "House"!!

You can whine and moan all you want if you need surgery-we'll all understand and send good vibes. My mother, at 82, is less outspoken as she ages-she cannot self-advocate at all. I am afraid I have to be the*itchy one, from a distance at that! Margo
