Rain drops keep falling on my head.........

I was thinking the storm we had last night was part of the hurricane.  Wrong.  Or maybe it was part of the outter bands of the storm heck I don't know.  I do know that I was off line most of the afternoon and into the night because of thunder and lighting.

Today the skies were dreary looking and around lunch time the rain started in again.  It's been pretty heavy at times.  Part of NC have gotten tons of wind with trees down all over some counties.

Other than wind and rain not much is going on around here.  Was looking forward to Big Brother tonight (as 2 people are supposed to get kicked out of the house) but because of some ballgame BB won't be seen until 2:30AM in my area.  Bummer.

Is there something in your everyday life that makes you happy?  I mean no matter what there is one thing that happens that will always give you a smile no matter what?  Me?  Whenever I go any where whenever I get home (no matter what the time, how long I have been gone) when I open my front door my cats come running to meet me.  Usually one or the other is right there at the door with the other one running into the room.  Never fails.

Now that might not seem much to some of you, but I live alone and it is wonderful to have someone (even if they have 4 legs and fur) to meet me at the door.

Sometimes when I walk up the front walk I can see my kitties looking out of one of the front windows.  By the time I have the door open there they are!  They are so sweet.

It's getting late (well it's still early I know) so I need to shut up and catch up on some mail.

Take care.  If you are the east coast stay safe and dry!

Fred Fredburger

This isn't the weather here  -- yet.
Word has it that the hurricane is coming this way. To see what is going on with the storm just click here

We should get a fair amount of rain but hopefully that is all.  It is really unusual for hurricane's to do much damage this far inland.  Hugo years back came through here with a vengeance.  But like I said that is rare for us.

Right now it is nice and warm outside.  No signs of any storm heading this way.

Mom is doing better everyday.  I am really surprised at how well she is doing.  I just pray she isn't over doing it.  The woman can be very stubborn at times!  But we love her anyway!

Can't believe that is almost Labor Day weekend already!  Gesh where has the year gone?  Our family reunion was re scheduled because of G's death, and this weekend is when it is supposed to be.  And the fact that it is to happen down around the NC coast line.........with a hurricane coming......bad weekend to have a reunion don't ya think?  My dad and I weren't going anyway  -- too much traffic heading towards the coast on Labor Day weekend -- but I definitely wouldn't be going now.

Take care.  If you are on the east coast be careful.  Lots of rain and wind is probably heading your way.

Would you believe? Could you believe?

While channel surfing today I saw something on VH that caught my attention.  I thought I had heard of this before but wasn't sure.

I looked it up on the web.  It's TRUE.  Or maybe kind of, sort of true.

Seems like Sylvester Stallone's (yeah the actor) mother can tell your fortune by reading your.....your.....can.....bum....backside....hiney.....rear end.......your rump!!!  (so sorry for the guy mooning you here ^ but it was the only G rated graphic I could find)

It's true.  I found the web sites!  Here's the links.  Didn't see any "rumps" on these sites though.

ROFLO!!!!!!!  If you have ever had a "reading" ........you might want to keep it your little secret cause I will laugh!!!!!!

Because the weekend is here and you are bored

A Place for Krissy and John

Tammy has had a wonderful idea.  Where Krissy is staying she has only limited time at the computer.  Bummer I know.  So Tammy has created a journal.  A journal for everyone to submit entries to.  I am lousy at explaining things, so I "borrowed" the following from Tammy's Journal (Cyndy & John & Krissy)

But, I have an idea. Krissy has only a limited amout of time on computers where they are. There is no way she can visit all the journals. So, what do you think about me creating a journal just for them? We can call it John and Krissy or whatever you like. You can write to them in an email, send it to me and I will put it in the journal!

You can write as much as you want, every day if you like! Poems, the weather, jokes or just thinking of you. If you write an entry in your journal and would love for Krissy to see it, let me know and I will put it in the journal. Consider it like a newspaper. All the information and good thoughts in one place so she doesn't have to hop from one place to the other. It will be in one place and she and John can keep up with all of you and keep track of J-Land news.

I would love to start a tally of blood donated or whatever you did to help so they can see it themselves. There are many things we could do in the journal. A one stop shop for all the important stuff Krissy and John need. It will save Krissy time and can respond in comments and it will hopefully give them both a smile every day.

The new journal is here: The John & Krissy J-Land Gazette

If you have any questions concerning this please just give Tammy a holler (well don't actually holler, shoot her an email instead) here: Memes121@aol.com

That time again!

Who was your first real kiss with?

Barney

Last person you kissed?

David

Most embarrassing moment?

teenager, on a date, white pants, unexpected.......

Proudest moment?

Graduating from community college with honors

Worst moment?

Putting my pets to sleep, expecially Sadie.  It is so hard deciding when it is your pets time to die.

If you found $100 on the street what would you spend it on?

Gotta love found money.  When I don't have money I can think of all different ways to spend it, but as soon as I get my hands on it I have a hard time letting go of it.  Most things I buy (that I don't need) are books, toys for the kitties, cards, purses

M&M's -- plain or peanut?

They make something other than peanut?

How many different places have you lived in since moving out of your parents house?

 4 different apartments and 2 houses = 6 places

Would you ever consider moving back in with the parents?

ROTFOL

I'm doing a poor job of keeping up

I know you all know by now (because I am not doing a very good job keeping up on things and even worse at getting the news to you.  I'm so sorry) that Andi's boyfriend is in the hospital and needs our prayers: News of Simon

And Sugar has posted some more about Krissy and John including where to send mail to Krissy.  FOR KRISSY & JOHN

My heart goes out to Andi and to Krissy and John.  Please keep up your prayers for each of them.  If you can donate blood in John's honor or give some money that would be cool too.  A letter or a card to Krissy would surely brighten up her day.

Pizza Fries

Hello everyone.  Hope you are doing ok.  No lasting hang-overs or blisters on the feet from too much dancing at the J-land celebration I hope.

The cow to the left here, (or is it a bull?) is here because......no reason.  I saw the photo, liked it, the site said I could grab it so I did.

He looks kind of mean huh?  He? Guess I have decided "it" is a bull.  He looks like he can see that hamburger you have you in your hands there.  You better put the ground beef away........

Swiped the above graphic from Jason (click on the money to go to his journal).  Actually I asked politely before I ran off with it.

I know everyone is thinking AOL and money don't mix so well.  But you might be wrong.  I was trying to balance my checkbook today and found a couple "odd" things on my statement.

Turns out some money had been deposited into my account.  Huh? Seems I did a couple of those "opinion polls" and they actually paid me for them!  Yep.  I got $5 for one and $3 for another one!  Cool.

Ok, it might not actually BE AOL money, but the "opinion poll" place says they will credit your AOL account so to me that is as good as if it was AOL money!

Now there are some things I don't understand about men.  Or maybe it isn't all men, maybe it is just my dad.  When my parents got married my mom didn't know how to cook, but my dad did and he taught her how.

Whenever we had pets my dad was always the one that ending up getting their meds into them.  No problem, he would pick them up grab open their mouth and shove the meds right in.

But something has happened to my dad.  Something really weird.  It happed at almost the exact second mom fell and fractured her hip.

Dad no longer knows how to cook.  Can't even open a can!  It is really weird I tell ya.  Sara - their cat -- is sick and needs liquid meds twice a day.  Suddenly dad doesn't know how to pick up a cat without being afraid of getting bit or something.  He has become incapable of putting liquid med into Sara's mouth.  He has done it before.  I know he has.

But when mom fractured her hip and couldn't cook or help hold Sara all the sudden dad can't do anything!  Well, he can and does cook breakfast (easiest meal of the day to fix).  So I go and cook lunch for them and put stuff in the fridge that just has to be re-heated for a light supper.  But he had trouble finding things in the fridge so I got tape and put numbers on everything.  Made a list and gave it to mom.  Now she tells him what number to get out of the fridge to microwave for supper.

I go twice a day, find Sara (the cat incase you aren't following), pick her up, wrap her in a towel, get her to open wide and shoot the meds right into that little mouth of hers.  Takes all of about 2 minutes for the whole thing?  She hasn't bit me or scratched me.  No one helps hold her.  It's a one woman job.  No biggie.

So here is my question.  When mom fractured her hip, what happened to dad's brain and ablities to take care of things?  Will he know how to cook and give the cat meds when the doctor says mom can go back to doing all those things?  Have you ever seen this happen before ladies?

Not a happy camper

See this picture?  The one of the cat?  That's my sweet Maggie.  (The picture doesn't do her justice.  And my flash lightened her beautiful green eyes.)  The picture wasn't taken yesterday but that is almost the exact face she gave me yesterday morning.

Why such a stare?  Well I knew one of the kitties was having some poopy problems and I had finally figured out she was the one.  So off we go to the vet.

I don't know about dogs, but with cats if there is a poopy problem the vet brings out this long blue stick thing that has like a needle eye at one end.  What does the beloved vet do with the blue stick like thing?

When he is going after a sample.  And if you have to ask you don't want to know.  If you know then you understand Maggie's stare!  Not a happy camper!

After all that drama we find out that she has a little infection and needs, ::gulp::, a shot.  A shot in the hip area.

Shots hurt.  And after the blue stick thingy the LAST thing a cat wants is to see that needle coming at her!  Dr B tried to hide the needle behind his back until just the right moment.  But Maggie felt it when he stuck her.

Mad? You betcha.  Dr B gave her a moment then picked her up and gives her a huge hug and some kisses.

Maggie loves hugs and kisses.  So she forgave Dr B.

But she still gave me that stare!

Just Because.

Ok, who was the one wearing the yellow polka dot bikinni for the first time last night on the red carpet?

Krissy needs your prayers

Krissy's (Sometimes I Think) husband is back in the hospital.  He had a bone marrow transplant a while back and has had to be hospitalized again.  And it is pretty bad.  John is having to get 2 to 4 bags of blood a day. (read about it here: John's in the hospital again and here: John always has something going on).

Prayers can help more than you think.  But I think we can do a little more.  That's right.  I am asking everyone to go that extra mile.  Donate blood.

Let's have a virtual blood drive folks.  I know some can't give and there are some that want to but for whatever reason have been turned down.

I also realize that chances aren't good that your blood will actually go to John.  But I believe that if your heart is in the right place Krissy and John will get a blessing out of it.  You will be helping someone to live another day, another month, maybe a lifetime.

So this is what I want you to do.  Call your local Red Cross or blood bank.  Set up an appointment to give a pint of blood (you really don't need it) or if you can't do that then donate a dollar or more to the Red Cross (or American Cancer Assoiation) in honor of Krissy and John.

A little can go a long way if everyone gives just a little.

So pass the word.  Steal my graphics if you want.  Leave prayers and well wishes over at Krissy's.

And let's have a virtual blood drive!  (well not totally virtual, I want you to get out and give!)

Prayers are going up for you Krissy.  And for John.  You both are strong fighters.  You will get through this!

Kathy

My Past Year in J-land

Announcing a J-Land Activity: My Past Year in J-Land

The past 12 months have gone by too slowly and too quickly for me.  I seem to have lost so much.  It has been a rather trying and painful year for me.

Where to begin?  Oh heck I would never get it in the right order.  So I'll just dive in and see what I come up with.

Within the past 12 months my Aunt E died and I had to be the one to make funeral arrangements.  I had to "close out" her life if you care to think of it that way.  Had to clean out her house and get it ready to be put up for sale.  It is still on the market.

The first pet I had gotten when I moved out from home died the same week my aunt did.  I had to have my sweet Dallas (a cat for those of you that don't know) put to sleep.  She was about 19 years old.  I had never had a pet that long.  It was as if a child had died.  (I don't have children so give me a little space here ok?)

Another joy in my life was a little kitten I had found on the street in January of 2004.  Sadie was the sweetest little thing.  I had to have herput to sleep this past January.  I knew when I found her that she wouldn't live long as she had so many medical problems but I NEVER thought I would have to let her go at the tender age of 2 years old.

I know that several people in J-land lost loved ones this year.  It seemed like so many people were dying.  And then we found out that Pamela had lung cancer.  She was one of the first friends I made here in J-land.  I was so stunned to read those words in her journal "lung cancer".

Less than a year after Pamela announced she had cancer she passed away.  I can not even begin to tell you how much loss I felt.  I was blown away.  I could not believe then (and I still find it hard to believe to an extent) that someone's passing, someone I had never met face to face, someone I had never spoken to on the phone, someone I only knew online, how someone like that, could affect me the way it did.

I cried as much for Pamela's passing as I did my own Aunt's.  I can't explain it, I can't explain it to myself how someone from J-land could touch me in such a way.  I surely don't understand it myself so I don't expect you to understand.

Week before last mom fell and fractured her hip.  Boy has that been a rollercoaster ride for the entire family!

There have been some joys in the past year.  I "rescued" my beloved kitties -- Sophie and Maggie -- from the local animal shelter.  They bring me much joy.

I have made new friends on line.  I have more than a lot of people and less than others.  I am lucky that I have a roof over my head, food for the tummy, meds for my brain, and my parents are still alive.

All in all, I know I complain but I have so much to be grateful for.

A new year is starting here in J-land and I know it is going to be a great one!!!!

3 years today!

Woo Hoo Today is the "offical" 3rd Anniversary of J-land.  My personal first day was Sept 2 2003.  So I was here almost at the very beginning.  My very first comment was left by zeldawho (Southern Porches).  Sorry to say that somewhere along the way we quit reading each other's journal.  I went to peek in on her only to see that she hasn't posted in over an year.

Many have left, many have started and some are in some kind of limbo, but it has been a great 3 years!

The winner of the caption contest has been announced over at Donna's: We Have A Winner!!! She has several sizes of the tag so be sure you go grab the one (or all) that is perfect for you:

Don't forget that you need to post your "My Past Year in J-Land" entry today.  Don't know what this about? Go to Krissy's to read more about it:  Announcing a J-Land Activity: My Past Year in J-Land

Go back to Vivian's to check out all the links that she has posted having to do with the celebration.  3rd Anniversary - AOL Journals  The celebration is pretty much wrapping up but you don't have to lose that celebration spirit that you have had this past week! Keep the neighborly visits to each other and have some more of that delish cyber-cake! Yumm.

To all my J-land buddies

Couple anniversary things

Krissy has a grand idea for everyone! I know you will want to participate.  I should have announced this earlier but I didn't.  No reason.  Just stupid on my part.  Go to her place and read all about it.  This is something EVERYONE can do, and I hope everyone does!

Another thing - and I didn't forget to tell you this.  This is new! Hot off the idea list today!  This one is sort of like the halloween trick or treating some of you did this past year.  Go read about and then do it!

Anniversary Chat Tonight! Be There!!!

Ok, I "stole" this entry from Vivian.

Now about tonight's chats. I believe during either the 1st J-Land Anniversary or during the 1st J-Land awards, the Special Interests Journals Cafe chat room was born. That is the room we'll be using today for the chat abroad and the one here in the US. Here's how it will work. The chat room has a maximum capacity of about 25 people. Once that capacity has been reached, when the 26th person comes in, an additional room will be created and there will be two chat rooms. During one of the previous community celebrations, we had three rooms going simultaneously.

Some people pop in for a quick stay and others stay for the entire time. The year we had the three rooms, I bounced in and out, hoping to visit as many people as possible in each of the rooms. That is my plan for today. If you click on the keyboard graphic, it will take you to the chat room. I guess it's a good thing this is all happening in cyber-space, because I've seen some of those gas guzzling limos some of you plan to pull up in tonight to walk the red carpet. I can't imagine how much it would cost you to fill up those gas tanks in the real world.

I'll see you all tonight in the chat rooms and if you can't make it, please come back here tomorrow for a huge slice of zero calorie anniversary birthday cake. Please remember...the official start time for the chats is 8pm GMT and 8PM ET. Your hosts will not be in the rooms before the appointed hour.  Please click on the keyboard graphic tonight. It will take you to the chat room.

LOL Stuart. Ya gotta love him!!!!!!!

This is the same man that just has 1 simple request:

A simple request on a busy day

I lied. I didn't mean to. I just forgot.

I did post a picture of me once.  I had totally forgotten it.

Should I make you guys hunt for it?

Should I repost it?

Should I just give you the link?

Should we just forget all about it?

Alright Already! LOL

I guess most of you know by now that Steven is doing a "photo album" of sorts of the anniversary.  If you didn't know well shame on ya!  LOL

Anyways.........I didn't send in a picture and someone (you know who you are) has emailed me several times harassing me about it.  Like I told someone else "I haven't shown my picture in 3 years and I'm not going to start now".

Well I have been informated that to participate it doesn't have to be a photo.  Nope.  If there is a graphic that describes you Steven can use that instead of a photo.

Well wouldn't you know it?  Miss You-Know-Who emails me and says "why not use the tag you use in all your emails? It pretty much represents you."

Fine!  If you will stop twisting my arm behind my back I will send it to Steven.

So readers if I have to do it, then so do you!!!!  Hurry deadline is coming up soon!

This is what I'm sending in instead my lovely face:

See that beautiful cat in the middle?  That's me.  The other kitties are my adoring fans!  :::throwing up now:::  LOL

Mom came home from the hospital today!!!!!!!!! A day early.  Guess that means the doctors think she is doing pretty good.  Mom has only been in the hospital to give birth to my brother and myself so it was an experience for her.  She didn't care for it at all!!

Thank you all for your prayers.  Please keep mom in your prayers as she is recovering from the surgery.  I am so scared she will try to do too much, or do something really stupid that will land her back in the hospital.

Don't forget J-land's 3rd anniversary is Monday.  There will be a chat this Sunday for everyone.  Please join in all the festivities.  Click on the grapic above to learn more about the red carpet and how you can participate!  Be sure to tell Andi I sent ya!  LOL

And to keep up with everything keep your eyes tuned in here:

Some things are starting to wrap up and you don't want to miss out on any of it!!!!!! You will kick yourself if you wake up this coming Tuesday and go "why didn't I?" or "no one told me".  Go read, click, participate.  This is YOUR anniversary.  This is J-land celebrating.  The only thing AOL has done is the badge graphic.  Oh, well they did give us the beginnings of AOL Journals.  Little did they know that we would take over the world!!!! ha ha ha

Mom's surgery was yesterday.  They changed surgeons at the last minute.  But we see that as a good think.  We had never heard of the original guy, the one that operated has a great reputation.

The doctor called up to the room after the surgery was over.  Said she did really great.  The fracture wasn't in the pelvic bone, but the leg bone right at the hip where the ball of the hip joint sits.  He put in pins and hopes that it will hold and everything be ok.  A lot of it now is up to mom herself and listening to the doctors.

Before they brought mom back to the room I call several calls from recovery.  One was this lady who can't believe that mom walked 5 days with that fracture the way it was.  The next was some guy that mom told him to call me.  He said that my mom was a "hoot".  A hoot?  My mom?  Wonder what in the world she was saying to them in the recovery room?  LOL

I thought she would still be sleepy when she got back to the room.  But she wasn't.  And she was feeling NO pain.  NONE.  She was high as a kite though!  LOL

Mom is really worried about being able to come home.  The doctor said if she was doing ok in 3 or 4 days she could come home, if not she would have to go to a nursing home until she could get back on her feet.  This really upset her.  Now she is wondering who will take care of her at home.  I told her dad would be there and I would come help.

Mom: "But who is going to feed me"?

Me:  What?

Mom: "I have to eat and I won't be able to cook".

Me: Mom I will cook for you.

Mom: "You can't be there all the time, and your dad will let me starve."

Me: Daddy is not going to let you starve.  But if it will make you feel better I will cook up some meals and put in microwavable plates so all dad will have to do is heat it for you.

Mom: "That might work"

I have a feeling it is going to be a long road to recovery.

So ladies do you know what shape your bones are in?  Osteoporosis doesn't who you are.  Get a bone density test (you don't even have to take your clothes off of this!).  If you are taking a calcuim suppliment check to see if it also has Vitiam D.  If it doesn't you need to add Vitiam D.  Calcuim with the D is no good for your bones.

Mom, surgery, anexity and panic

The hospital did mom's MRI last night.  She does have a fracture.  Evidently a pretty bad one.  They don't want her on her feet at all because she could turn the fracture into a break.

Mom will be having surgery sometime today -- as soon as they can get an operating room.

I plan on being at the hospital all day.

Please pray for my mom.  And for me.  This is doing a number on my nerves.  While in the ER yesterday my panic disorder kicked in.  My hair was soaking wet from the anxiety.  Mom even asked me if I went into a bathroom and had wet it down for some reason.  No mom that's just how I get, my skin gets the clammy feel to it, I get hot, I get sweaty.  I looked a sight!  Hopefully with some extra meds my anxiety/panic  won't be so bad today.

What some of you don't realise is there is more to worry about than just the surgery.  The recovery is worse practically.  About half of women that have the surgery (at mom's age and older) will die from complications that set in after the operation.  I don't totally understand it all but I know what the doctors have been telling us for years.  And that was DON'T FRACTURE OR BREAK ANY BONES (expecially the hip and pelvis).  Recovery is hard.

Well I gotta go I want to get to the hospital before they take mom to surgery.

My Mom

My mom is 74 years old.  She has osteoporosis (thinning of the bones).  As you know she feel earlier this week and wouldn't go to the doctor.  Well she started hurting really bad and I had to take her to the ER this morning.

They did an x-ray but couldn't tell for sure if it is a fracture, so they did a CT scan.  They see something but still not sure what it is.  They are going to keep her overnight and do an MRI tomorrow sometime.  If it is a fracture of her pelvic bone then she will have to have surgery.  And they will have to put in bolts or whatever.

I am deeply worried about her.  Women her age with fractures (or breaks) are in for a long recovery and maybe even death.

Won't know for sure what is wrong until the MRI tomorrow.

Hurry, this link won't be good for long

Do you like authors Stephen King? JK Rowling? John Irving?

Got this in an email from Stephen King's site:

New York, NY - August 9th, 2006 -- For those book lovers and fans world-wide who could not attend the star-studded literary event at Radio City Music Hall last week, "AN EVENING WITH HARRY, CARRIE & GARP" will now be available to watch free of charge in its entirety for two days only. On Thursday, August 10 and Friday, August 11.  MSN will stream the event at http://video.msn.com, and beginning on Saturday, August 12 until the end of the month, highlights will be available on demand. MSN will enable viewers to make contributions to The Haven Foundation and Doctors Without Borders.

Time to feel like a princess!!!!

If you were here when J-land celebrated it's first year anniversary then you know that everyone got all dressed up (cyberly speaking) for the chat which was dubbed "The Crystal Ball".

If you weren't around back then I will explain.  Go shopping.  Cyber shopping.  Find "the" perfect thing you would love to wear to a formal occasion.  You don't have to find something to fit the "real you".  You can find a size 2 to wear if you like.  And you can go for those "hooker" heels if you want.

Find your outfit and post in your journal.  Here is what I will be wearing:

Beautiful huh?  It needs no jewlery as I think it is complete as it is.

And the accessories will be (and they will be dyed to match the dress of course!)

Be sure to leave me a link to your post as I would love to see what you will be "wearing"!!

Alert - Just got in the mail from NAMI

1-800-SUICIDE Hotline Set to Shut Down on Saturday August 12

The nation's largest suicide hotline, 1-800-SUICIDE, is scheduled to go out of service this Saturday, August 12, 2006. There are currently negotiations in progress that may prevent this. However, in the event that these negotiations are not successful, NAMI is issuing this alert to raise public awareness of the alternative for those in need of help.

The alternative number for those in crisis is 1-800-273-TALK. This number will put callers in touch with the federally-funded National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a service that has been in operation since January, 2005. It functions as a central switchboard to immediately connect callers to virtually the same network of certified, local crisis centers accessed by 1-800-SUICIDE.  So callers can receive counseling or emergency services, if needed, close to home.

All calls to the 1-800-273-TALK Lifeline are private and confidential. Confidentiality of personal information and of personal disclosures during calls is a high priority for the parties involved in operating the Lifeline.

The federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is working with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the entire suicide prevention community to ensure that every call for help during a suicide crisis is answered. Some of the measures being put in place include:

  • Ensuring that the entire suicide-prevention community is working the phones and Internet to make sure that all referring agencies know that 1-800-273-TALK is the number to call for suicide intervention.
  • Notifying service providers, including directory 411 and 211 operators, that 1-800-SUICIDE is scheduled to go out of service beginning August 12, 2006 and to direct callers to 1-800-273-TALK for help.
  • Redirecting callers who call 1-800-SUICIDE to call 1-800-273-TALK through a recording.

As a part of this effort, NAMI will participate in a meeting with SAMHSA and its other partner groups on Friday afternoon, August 11, and we will issue an update afterwards if there is additional information to share.

NAMI urges you to help distribute this alert in your community. Together, we can ensure that every call for help is answered.

Thank you,

Michael J. Fitzpatrick, MSW
Executive Director
NAMI
