Hello everyone. Hope you are doing ok. I can't really complain. My life is what it is.
Someone is starting a journal for the first time. If you want to go visit and welcome her to the neighborhood here's a link:

So I went to the doctor today. He is changing my meds. That's the good news. (well i guess it's good news) The new med isn't covered by my insurance. I tell him I can't pay for it. So he goes and gives me a months supply in samples. Then what I asked? He said maybe by then the insurance will have added that med to those they cover. If they don't I ask. Well we will have to change to something else. What the?
Try a different med that we know the insurance won't pay for (at least not yet) in hopes that it will help me and be added to my insurance. Huh? So what if it works great and the insurance still won't cover it. I will have to come off it. So why even try? Don't know. I'm willing to try but I think it is a useless experiment. Oh well.......
Finally got that card in the mail. You know who you are. I am so lazy at times.
Every summer the city has what they call "bulky item pickup". It's where you can put all your trash (that you should haul to the dump but you don't for whatever reason) on the curb during certain weeks and they come pickit up for free. You would not believe how much junk people must be storing in their houses! LOL You see a little of everything out at the curbs.
But the city doesn't have to pick up half of the stuff. Nope. You put stuff out at the curb and people start going through it and close of half will be gone before the city comes by.
My dad has a neighbor that loves this time of year. He collects and sells anything metal. He will pick up about anything -- washer/dryers, refridgerators, metal chair, bikes, anything with metal. Some people pick up old furniture and redo it.
I have done that twice myself. Picked up a rocking chair that had seen better days. My dad fixed it up and gave it to his sister. I also picked up a ratty looking bedside table. Dad put a new back on it, we sanded and painted it and it looks brand new.
That's it for now. Still trying to get caught up on my journal reading. Sorry guys.
me dancing like no one is watching! LOL

doncha just love insurance companies!!!!!!! well girl go on and complain we are here to listen
I think there's a special place in HELL for the board of directors of insurance companies and their advisors......especially HMO's, for not paying for certain medications and not allowing you to go to any doctor you need. I literally think, they are souless people.

Dealing with my medical insurance (medicare + suppliment) just gives me a headache. Where I lived in NJ we had "clean up" twice a year. I loved it. I would come home with tables and chair, fix them up, paint them, and sell them for a few bucks or give them away. Just something to do. Regards, Bill.
I go through the same deal with my meds, I hate it!
My Mother & my son who has passed were the 2 biggest collectors of "good stuff" on the curb. LOL I think my Mom furnished her house with it, & my son got a lot of things that way too. I did some when I had room to put it, now i don't. But I see things all the time I wish I could pick up!
Hugs, Sug
Ditto on the soul-less b@stards...I sometimes wonder how they can sleep at night. Myself, I've told many of them on the phone, after they did nothing good for me, what my life used to be like...back when my meds were $600/month. I'd then bid them good night and that I'd be thinking of them as they tried to sleep...and I sat up all night trying to figure out how I was going to pay for meds AND/OR food.
Nasty, aren't I? LOLL
xoxoxo,
andi
weird.
All we do is phone the council and they come and pick up whatever you are throwing out free of charge.
What a bizarre system for drugs........poor you........
I'll check out the new journal thanks for sharing. We don't have anything like that here with the pick up of stuff. It sounds like a good idea. But if you don't want anything anymore just put it out and it will be gone. LOL. THat does work.
Hi hon. Boy this month passed fast. Tomorrow is August 1st, already. Geez!! I'm not ready for all the holidays that will be coming up: birthdays, anniversaries, not to mention ...well, all the rest too. I love them, but it can be overwhelming.
I know how hard it is with meds. Our doctor gave me samples too, for awhile. Then, well, you know the rest. It happens way too often. You take care of yourself. And don't forget I'm here if you need extra support. You're very loved, you know, by me, and many others in J-land.
Big hugs,

Hard-working taxpayers can't afford the medicine they need, but a billion dollars a week is being spent in an ill-advised war. SIGH Don't get me started!!

Check with the drug manufacturer. They are getting better about helping people get their meds when they cannot afford them. I am just coming by from Sassy's recomendation. Good luck with your meds.
I believe that God put on Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind, I will never die.

Hey! That's how I look when I dance. LOL.
you could complain about some things but it wouldn't make a difference lol!!!

hello (( pussycat ))
i just wanted to add my "twocents" here about the new med! i process Rx's all day...and if there is one term i see alot it's the ole "prior authorization" needed ~ which means..see if the med works...get an rx from the doctor..and take it to be processed...prior auth's usually require that the doctor contact the insurance co. and "qualify" the treatment....((( oyevey, ))) * i know it's a pain in the u-know-where...but beeee persistant...get names...and never say "quit"...when it comes to these insurance companies!!! you might wanna start now...you know...just sorta get your feet wet...and get them used to the idea of dealing with youuuu!!!
good luck...hope it works! AAAAAAAmen!
