Be safe, don't drink and drive

                              

     I love the punk frog with an attitude above!  If you look you
     can see that he has a nose ring, his lips are zipped and he
     has a studed collar.  So cute.

     With the 4th of July coming up I thought I should do an
      entry on the Declaration of Independence or something.
     But it just sounded kind of dull.  Then I found this site.
     The Declaration of Independence by Trumbull  It is about that
     famous painting of the signing.  And although I find it hard to see,
     they have this cool fact about the painting.  It says to look closely 
     and you will see that John Adams is standing on Thomas Jefferson's 
     foot!  I never knew that.  Wonder if Adams was doing it as some
      sort of signal to Jefferson?  The same picture is on the back of
      the $2 bill, but they changed it so Adams wasn't standing on
      Jefferson's foot.   I thought it was a pretty cool fact.

                             

      Not much going on around here.  I had a headache almost all day
      yesterday and today there is still a little bit of a headache still
      nagging away.  I hate headaches.  They have to be the worst pain
      in the world.  Well, that and toothaches.  I can handle pain pretty
      good, but if it is from the neck up I am a huge baby.

      Mom had to put her beloved cat Patches to sleep this morning. 
      She is the cat that recently had to have some teeth taken out.  We
      can't remember when mom got her but Patches was at least 16 if
      not older.  Dr H said that she probably had cancer, but we didn't
      have any extensive testing done.  You could tell she wasn't feeling
      great and hadn't in a long time.

       My parents have another cat -- Sara -- who seems totally lost.  I
       guess she knows that something happened with Patches but doesn't
      quite "get it" yet.
