::crying::

I am sitting here in shock.  I can't believe that Pam has passed.

I never met her but she was so nice to me her online.  When I first started journaling she was there with a helping hand.

For those that don't know Pamela was diagosed with lung cancer last June.  She leaves behind 2 wonderful children (both teenagers).

I can't believe that the passing of someone I never met would hit me the way this has.  I can't do anything for her family.

Pam wanted to make sure someone would take on some of her beloved journals and I don't think anyone stepped up.  I hate that.  I would myself but I just didn't think I would keep them up the way they needed to be.  I hope her family leaves them all up even if they are outdated.  (I am talking about her help journal, screen shots of editor's picks, and the listing of everyone's journals).

Kathy, I'm very sad for you.....sending you a big hug. I knew Pamela less than you did and I feel very sad.......so I understand how you must be feeling......thinking of you and of Pamela's children and family.

I know how you feel. I never met her either. I just remember when I first opened my journal in 2003, she listed me and I felt so honored and she sent me a nice email. She seemed just as lovely on the inside as she was on the outside.

My neighbor died last week from Cancer and other related things. I knew him over 30 years and I feel so sad. Cancer is a horrible disease. I wish they'd find a cure.

I am brokenhearted as well.  I didn't expect it this soon.

I think we need one big j-land group hug.

I heard the news earlier today..it is amazing how someone you have never met face to face can touch your heart, make you think of them day after day in a way beyond just a simple computer screen. ..

Kathy  I am in shock.  SHe has been a friend of mine and we did talk by phone.  I know the other day she sounded so weak.  God at least she isnt in pain any longer.  Thanks for all you do John

I'm so sorry Kathy.  Online friendships are just as bonding as offline friendships.  Matter of fact, my best friend and I met online and even though we are hundreds of miles apart, we still share our lives together by phone, email and IM.  If you are a praying person, that is something you can do for her and her family.  God always has his ears on even if He doesn't give the answer we always want to hear.  :)  If that makes any sense.  If there is anything I can do, let me know.

She was certainly a big presence in the J land family.  I didn't interact with her personally.  I think we left each other a comment or two here and there but I know she was in the circles of a lot of folks on J Land.
She sounded like a wonderful lady.

I'm so sorry, Kathy!  It can sometimes really be a bitch to care about people....but we can't help it because we are human.

Hugs,
Russ

I know how you feel, Kathy.  Although I did not know her that well, her journal touched me whenever I stopped by for a visit.  I read of her passing and my heart just hurt for her and her family.
