Saturday

I took Maggie back to the vet today.  I just felt that she was still sick and something was wrong.  I was right.  She is still running a low fever and one of her eyes has started to water.  She got a shot and I have some eye drops for here and some liquid meds to get into her twice a day.  I dread doing that.  But whatever it takes.

But the big news was her weight!  I couldn't tell if she was eating much (with 2 cats you can't tell), but I thought she was eating some dry cat food.  Wrong.  On Jan 30th she weighted 6.20 pounds, today she was down to 5.40 pounds!  Almost a whole pound in less than a week.    The vet offered Maggie some canned cat food and she went nuts!  You would think I was starving my little girl.  Needless to say I hit the store and got some delious (ick) can food for my baby.  I so wanted both cats to be on dry food but it's not to be.  At least not for now.

Here is a picture of Maggie I took a couple days ago:

She makes me think of a black panther, or a puma or something.  She may be small but I bet (once we get her all heathly) the heart of one of those big cats is in her!

Well, I hope your little wonder is soon back on the road to good health. She is a sleek-looking lithe little cat. Puma. Yep!

Maggie is beautiful, hope all works well for her.  I have tried holistic food for my kitties when not doing well, it is more expensive but worth it.  I have also used garlic oil and chicken broth................Stormie

We had to to stop feeding Jasper dried cat food...............after a Vet's bill  of £282 and three days in hospital and two operations later it seemed like a good idea! He needed liquid and wouldn't drink

She is a cutie and you'll get her all fixed up in no time.

You might be able to switch her to dry food after she feels better.  Maybe mixing some dry with the moist so she can get used to the crunch.

Give her a kiss on the head for me.

Darn it, I was hoping you were just being an over-concerned mom...I'm sorry Maggie's sick.  But I'm sure in your care she'll be better soon.  She's very cute!
