Update

I took Maggie to see Dr B today.  He says she is doing fine.  Just having to get used to her new home and all that happened to her before she got here.  She did have a low fever but he gave her an antibiotic shot for that.

Here is another picture of my new baby:

Still not a great picture but you can see her face a little better.  It was taken yesterday.

Not near as much hissing between Maggie and Sophie today.  Guess they are getting used to each other.  Maggie still isn't really socialable.  She is sleeping most of the time.  Hopefully the shot Dr B gave her and a few more days to get settled in will do wonders for her.

Tell you a funny little story. Years ago, I had only one cat (25 years ago) and I got another. They fought constantly......or so it seemed. One night, I got up and they were all cuddled up sleeping soundly together. It seems they were putting on a show for mommy during the day to see who would get more attention. LOL! I even have a picture of them somewhere because that night wasn't the only night I found them all cuddled up. LOL! Little liars. LOL!

I'm sure Maggie will perk up soon...she just needs time.  She's been through a lot lately, but cats are extremely adaptable.  Before you know it, you'll all be settled into a nice routine.

Congratulations on your adoption, by the way!

Won't be long before all is well......

Well, I guess cats aren't too much different than people when it comes to socialization. It'll be fine in no time.

Cute new addition!

Now Mamma, don't worry so much.  Your new baby will settle in fine and in a few weeks you'll almost forget she's a newbie.  Maggie is very adorable.  I've always had a soft spot for black kitties.  I had a beautiful little black kittie with a white mustache.  I named her Annabelle.  She was such a sweet affectionate cat.  Oh, but that was many many years ago.  Relax and enjoy your two babies together.  They will be fine.  Susan

Gurl I am glad to hear about the cat doing better. I am just not a cat person. They scare me so bad.
