Last Day of 2006
It's raining here. Raining outdoors, in my head just every
where. It's depressing as you know what.
I have watched part of a DVD I got myself for Christ-
mas: Little Miss Sunshine.
I have been taping some of the Law & Order: SVU
marathon that's on the USA network today. I love the
show and I have the "hots" for Det Stabler! He is played
by actor Christopher Meloni who is a hottie. Ages ago
I had HBO and he was on the show OZ also. You can click
on the banner below to go to his web site. Bet he is nothing
in real life like he is in my head. :(
So do I write about the year past or New Years resolutions
(which I don't really believe in), or my hopes and dreams
for the upcoming year?
I don't see the point in looking at the past and as far as
looking forward I don't see much for me there either so
I guess you will just have to wait and go one day at a time
with me because that's all I got. I have no hopes or plans
I have nothing great to look forward to. It's just me, my
cats, my dirty house and my depression. Nothing is getting
better, everything seems to continue to go down hill for
me. Well 'cept for my babies. They seem healthy (though
Maggie wants to eat herself into a big old butterball),
if you go by their litterbox they are healthy as can be. I
can't seem to keep it clean -- guess I'm feeding them too
well. LOL
Ordered a CD that Russ recommeded. Hope it is as good
as he said. If not Russ I know where you work! LOL
Playing the game Bookworm a lot lately. Don't know why.
I need to be emptying out some of my email boxes, or
doing housework, or something. You know with depression
it is really hard, really hard to do anything, anything at
all. I know it is probably hard to understand but that's
the way it is.
I hope everyone has a great time tonight however you
celebrate the coming in of the new year. Stay safe.
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!! The life you save may
be another AOL J-lander! If you drink don't drive,
if you drive don't drink. Heck get the booze, go home
lock the front door and get loaded with a loved one.
That's the best way to do it! LOL

Another day in the life of me........
When you think of the last of December you think of the type of weather that is in the above graphic. But in this part of the world we are running around in our shirt sleeves still.
Huge moving van just pulled in next door. I guess I'm getting new neighbors. Oh heck, there is 2 little boys running around out there. Don't throw things at me! I like kids, as long as they live in the next block or the next street over. Call me names but just don't throw stuff at me. Kids get on my nerves something bad -- always have. Good thing I never had any huh? I love YOUR kids, you take them home and keep them away from that "strange cat lady that lives down AOL J-land lane. LOL
Got a couple new entires over at: Forever Forward I think you will like the last entry. Copy and mail it to everyone you know. LOL No, DON'T DO IT!!!! I'm just messing with ya. But it is a good one.
Today I have been really down. No real reason. Oh I could come up with about a million reasons but they are the same old ones that crop up when I get depressed. The list is old and raggedy and you don't want to hear it any more than I want to spew it out.
Saddam is dead. When I first saw it this morning (on my trusty computer not on tv) I really didn't have much of a response. That's why I shoved you guys off on Andi's entry. I wasn't sure what I wanted to say or if I wanted to say.
I have gotten an ear full in one of my groups about how bad America is because of executions. But this is coming from a country with a very bloody past, who are they to judge? Not all US states execute. Would I be apposed to executing say The Green River Killer? Nope. Ted Bundy? No problem there. Those were evil men. Yes I believe that some people are just born mean and that something in their lives as kids happens and where most people would grow up ok, they instead turn out evil. As a Christian maybe I shouldn't say that, but I do believe it.
Saddam was an evil man. Should he have ever been let loose in society? No. Should the Iraqis pay to keep him in prison for the rest of his natural life? I don't think so. He killed so many of his own countrymen, innocent people.
As for the death pentalty. If you don't believe in it then don't live in Texas for heavens sake. Maybe Massachusetts? They don't have the death pentalty do they? Yes, I think serial killers and the like should get the death pentalty. Did Saddam get what he deserved? Well he got what he brought onto himself, I'll say that.
Please no hate comments or emails. I see comments around that can get very heated on politics, religion, and of course the death pentalty. If you have a strong opinion on the subject then address it in your journal and I promise I won't leave any ugly comments at your journal.
Finally got the DVD player/recorder working! WOO HOO Dad had one of the millions of connecting wires in the wrong place. Now I am ready to sit back watch a few movies, and try the recording feature! I am excited about that. Got me a new toy to play with.
Here's a site for you to check out. Dead People - People who died in 2006 It lists famous people but it also the names (and pictures) of our fallen military men and women.
Weird entry I know. Sorry. Check out the Forever Forward journal and the People who died in 2006 site.
this looks like a Morvian star, is it? do you know?

Help I'm being attacked!!! LOL
I so love the artwork of the artist above! Her name is Ursula Vernon. You can see more of her art at: http://www.metalandmagic.com/ (Russ you should really check her out, especially the "wierd fruit" stuff you will probably love "The Biting Pear of Salamanca")
Ok, about the "feeds". All you really need to do is to just dive in and click on "get the feed". A window will open and it will give you choices of which feed you want to try. Click on whichever one sounds good, another window will open and take you to whichever one you choose. So, if you want to try the google reader just click were it says google and follow the instructions.
Not much to write about. Least I don't think so.
Looks like this kitty is getting ready to celebrate New Years. Got any plans? I will do what I do most every year. Sleep. Oh I will know when the new year rings in as my neighbors always set of fireworks. But it won't take long for me to get back to sleep.
The "weird" neighbors to the right of me moved out this past weekend. Actually I am pretty sure they were evicted and that they waited until the last possible second to get out, and the locks were changed so they went in through a window to get the rest of their stuff. Tons of trash was left piled by the trash cans. The garbage collectors aren't going to pick it up. They won't go to where the stuff is placed, and even if they did it isn't in bags or cans so I know they won't touch it. The pile of trash is high and is almost on my property line so I hope someone gets it taken care of and soon.
Still having problems getting my new DVD player/recorder hooked up right. Don't know what the problem is. T is coming over tomorrow to see if he can work it out (he is pretty tech savvy)
Angela just sent me this. It's great. Check it out. If you are dial up you can probably forget it though. It took a second or two to load for me and I'm on broadband.

The weather is unbelievably warm for December. Wonder what the new year will bring to my little corner of the world?
ok so this little mouse started celebrating the new year a
little early! LOL

Feeds, mom, cats and anxeity
Thanks everyone for your comments on my last entry.
Some of you didn't have any idea of what I was talking about. So I have gone over to Joe's and found some of the entries he has done on the subject. Some of these are older entries so things may have changed. If you still "don't get it" I would say to email Joe as he can explain it so you can understand. Any ways here are some links to his journal about feeds:
A New Tool for Feeding Your Friends
Things I Did Not Know About Alerts (Plus, Feeds Stuff) this is a really good one to read
A Much Better Explanation of RSS, Feeds & Feedreaders
Fun With Featured Feeds
And you can use feeds to keep up with some message boards, news links, etc.....
I have decided to try the google reader for now. It looks really simple to use (and I need simple). After I get all the journals listed that I read all I have to do is pull up one page and it lists all the journals, all I have to do is click on a journal name and it automatically pulls up the last few entries that have been made in that journal. Cool huh?
I told mom yesterday that I was making an appointment for her to see her medical doctor soon. I told her that I thought something was happening with her brain and that I wanted it checked out. Whew. I got an appointment for the 5th for her.
Now I am dreading the appointment. She refuses to let dad take her. So it's me. I just don't know how to say what I think I need to say to the doctor with mom sitting right there. If I mention the word dementia I know mom will freak out. Pray about it ok? I'm going to need it.
Mom had an appointment today to go and get her hearing aids adjusted. She hasn't hardly been wearing them and she just refused to keep the appointment. She made dad take and turn them in (it's within the 60 or 90 day time so we can get all but $300 of the $3,300 price back). Great. More yelling so she can hear us. LOL
I needed to get cat food really bad. What I have the kitties on you can't by at the local grocery store. I have been getting it at the Vet's (which is just a couple miles from my house). But this time they were sold out. Great. I would have to go to one of those big pet supply stores. I couldn't do it. I couldn't drive the extra miles and go into the store by myself. I just couldn't. I hated to but I called dad from the vet to see if he could go with me. Luckily he was able to. If he didn't I don't know what I would have done.
Dad also came over and hooked up my new DVD player/recorder. I have been playing with it but got all mad at it and had to stop. I know I am doing something really simple wrong but I can't even get the menu to pull up on the thing! After trying everything -- and reading the instructions (which are in English but might as well be in Russian) -- and still getting no where I decided to come play on the computer for awhile. Maybe tomorrow I will figure it out. Hope so.
I know this sig tag is a weird one. A really weird one. But somehow it shows how I am feeling. Don't ask me to explain because I don't think I could.

Alerts vs Feeds
Do any of you use the "feeds" instead of the AOL alerts?
I am experimenting with it. I have tried the AOL feed before but everytime I cleared my cache I lost all the feeds that I subscribed to. So now I am playing around with the google feed and the yahoo feed. Which do I like best? Don't know. Is another one better?
I get a couple of feeds for some Blogger blogs but I can't remember which feed and I don't think we have it as an option yet. I like it because I get an email once a day that tells every blog that updated the day before. Sure it's a day late but all the blogs are in one email. I like that.
I have cut back on my alerts and I still think I would like to get rid of them. Or at least to try something else and if I hate it I can always come back to AOL alerts.
Anyone with ideas or suggestions?

It's a week early -- but who cares?
I was going to wait until the first of the year, but I got all excited about it.
So I am starting today.
I have started another journal. WAIT Before you say "I have enough journals to read as it is", listen to what I have to say about the new journal.
I get -- from various sources -- emails that are funny, that have been forwarded, ect.....
Some I read and delete. Some I don't bother to even read.
But there are some that I "have to share"! I try not to forward to every single person though I am tempted from time to time. LOL
So to keep me from filling up some email boxes I have created a journal for those emails that I "just have to share".
I can not say how often that journal will be updated. It all depends on what I get and what I feel is worth sharing. (Please do not add me to your forwarding lists, I get plenty of stuff as it is)
I also have turned off the comments section for the new journal. This way you won't feel that you have to leave a comment every time you stop by.
So, if you choose to please check out the new journal. If you like it add it to your alerts.
The new place is here: Forever Forward And I already have 4 entries up for your viewing pleasure! LOL
The lull between Christmas and New Years
I was going to "pack up" my Christmas graphics but I
found this background in another folder. It is
Christmasy isn't it? Isn't that holly that the cat is
resting on?
I just finished up the last of the entries over at my
Christmas journal: Trying Not To Be Bah Humbug! I will be
leaving it up but no more entries are to be made over
there. If you haven't visited you still have the chance.
Most all of the entries have a link in the side columns
over there. That should make it easy to find an entry
to read.
Right now I am listening to one of the Christmas
presents I bought myself (yep I buy myself presents).
It's the newest CD of John Mellencamp. His greatest
hits. I loved him way back when he was still John
Cougar. I think just about anyone could find one of his
songs that speaks to them.
Angela has a great entry over here: Life, as I see it! She
rarely updates anymore but when she does it is always
something powerful. Check it out.
thanks to nightmaremom for the above graphic
Love the sleeping kitty above. Nothing looks quite like
an angel but a sleeping cat.
My parents got me a new DVD player/recorder for
Christmas. I had a DVD player but it didn't record.
And as we all know VHS is on its way out I needed
something to tape tv shows. If I had the money to
get the "bigger, better" cable tv package I wouldn't
have to worry because that comes with the ability to
"save" or "tape" shows. But I can't afford it. And
if I could what do I need that many tv channels for?
I don't watch but about 25 - 30 % of the channels I
get now.
Dad and I have been doing a lot of talking about mom
the past few days. He says that he is sure she is getting
worse mentally. I knew that but I guess hearing it
from someone that lives with her 24/7 makes it hit home
just a bit more.
If you don't talk to mom often or just on the phone you
probably wouldn't pick up on what is happening with
her. I am trying to talk her into going to the doctor
sometime before her next appointment in Feb. But even
if I do I don't know how to handle talking to the
doctor about her. I can't very well say she is going
downhill mentally with her sitting right there. Well
I guess I could but it just doesn't seem right. But
then talking behind her back sounds about as bad to
me.
Dad says he is sure (as sure as one can be) that he can
take care of mom no matter how bad -- unless or until
she gets to the point she can't go to the bathroom and
clean up herself. He can handle giving her baths but
the toilet issue is one he doesn't think he can handle.
I hope and pray it doesn't come to that. I might can
sit with her some but right now she is at a point that
I can't handle. I would love to think it is my depression/
bipolar that makes it harder for me to handle her.
I would hate to think if I was "normal" that it would
still be this hard on me. It sounds so shelfish to say
"hard on me", I mean what about her? Does she
realize she is going downhill? To a point she does bc-
cause ever time I go over there she is giving me some
of her stuff. It's stuff she wants me to have and is
afraid that something will happen to it when she dies and
that I might not get it then.
Talk about depressing. Everytime you see someone they
are giving you their stuff. Best I can remember my
grandmother started doing that some before she died.
Guess I have rambled on long enough. My sig tag is
kind of depressing but it pretty well fits my mood
at the moment.

Christmas Day journal entry 2
Well the "big day" has come and is a little half the way over. Are you as pooped as the dog in the above graphic? I am. And I didn't do all that much. But it has been a long trying day for me.
I have so many Christmas graphics that I didn't get around to using. I hate it, some are really pretty. But face it after today they are to put up until next December. Glad I didn't decorate the house. I would be too exhausted to start putting up the decorations. With the graphics I just need to load them onto a CD and delete off the hard drive. Pretty easy.
If you know me you know that I had to get in the cat graphic above.
Don't forget if you need something to help pass the time you can go get all caught up with my Christmas Journal. To make it easy for everyone I have put links to all the entries (except for the last 2 or 3 entries) in the side columns. And here's the link to that journal: Trying Not To Be Bah Humbug!
And for those with even more time don't forget the links journal that I have. I started it around Christmas time last year so there are tons of links. That journal started out organized but went down hill. LOL There are links on the side column to the organized entries the rest you will just have to fumble through. I may try to organize it again but don't hold your breath! LOL The link to that journal is here: What to do online
Hope everyone has been having a happy and safe holiday.
Toon I know it's been a rough one foryou so here is a HUGE hug for you (and you can share it with the Lump if you want):

A tag that's going around
Saw this at Jimmy's and thought I would give it a try.
I'm supposed to list 3 thing I want for Christmas, and then 3 things I don't want for Christmas. So here goes:
3 Things I want for Christmas:
I'm guessing these can be as outrageous as I want them to be. LOL
1 A dog. A fully house trained dog. It can be a mutt from the shelter I don't care. As long as I don't have to "potty train" and it gets along with my cats.
2 My entire house cleaned and organized for me. All my scrapbooking stuff neatly stored and organized, all my CD's in a rack, the DVD's and VHS tapes hidden away and organized, etc....
3 That I didn't feel so depressed and alone in the world especially at this time of the year.
3 Things I don't want for Christmas:
1 Any more news about Brittney, Paris, TomKat, etc......and I am really sick of all the famous "ladies" not wearing undies and showing the entire world that they aren' wearing any. I even saw a story with ex-president Bush mentioning it to George Clooney.
2 AOL issues. I have had about enough computer/AOL issues to last a lifetime.
3 I DO NOT want anyone in J-land to have a really bad holiday.
Give someone a HUG today.
It's raining here. With all the snow there is in parts of the country I shouldn't complain!
Hope you like the doggie grapic. I have a million (well, maybe not a million but a lot) of Christmas graphics that I keep meaning to use and for whatever reason don't. I don't want to put too many in one entry because I know a few of you are still on dial up.
I went and forgot until the last minute (again) to remind you guys of something. Smack me silly! If you know of someone that has loved one that has passed please find a card for them that wishes them well over the holidays and that mentions that you remembered their loved one. Hallmark has a beautiful one here: Loss Of A Loved One ecard from Hallmark Ecards I am sure you can find even more at different ecard sites. I know that Hallmark sells them in their stores also but it's kind of late to mail -- or is it? A little late is better than not at all.
One Christmas I was attle brained that I didn't mail my Christmas cards so I went and bought New Years cards and sent them to all that was on list.
When I got up this morning both cats were asleep on the back of the sofa. So cute. I got my camera and nothing. It wouldn't take the picture. And before I could figure out what was wrong the cats moved. Rats! I still don't know what happened so I am thinking maybe I had too many pictures on the camera or the battery needs recharging. So I come in here and print out the pictures. Oh my goodness I had almost 30 on there and some from way back in the summer.
this is one of my favorite graphics! LOL
My oldest niece didn't come down to her parents house like we were told. She decided to stay with her boyfriend when he gets out of jail. Evidentaly she and my brother had a huge arguement over it. She called my parents asking for some money. They have given and loaned (that never got repaid) her money before. Mom asked me what I thought. I told her that I wouldn't give her money that would help her stay in an abusive relationship. With boyfriend in jail now is the perfect time for her to leave.
Take care. Tell your loved ones that you love them. Give them a big ole hug too.
Don't forget to visit my Christmas Journal here: Trying Not To Be Bah Humbug! For some reason Tammy thinks Santa will leave me coal because of some of the entries! LOL

Merry ChristMoose!
Clicking on the graphic above will take you to my Christmas journal.
Can you believe that this coming Monday is Christmas? And a week later it will be 2007? I knew time flew the older you get but this is getting ridiculious!
Not much going on around here. I felt a need to get out so I took my anxeity meds called Dad and we were off to Wal-Mart. I should have known better! Crowds! Ugh. The presents I am giving this year are a little on the lean side and though I know my parents could care less I wanted a little something else. So I bought these Christmas tins for $2.00 and bought some bags of candy to stuff in them. And I found a small apple crumb cake (that looks yummy) to take for desert on Christmas Day.
If I had have driven home I think I would have had a major panic attack and would have had to been taken to the ER. Traffic is horrible and people seem to have totally forgotten how to drive! Idiots! What is it about holidays (or traffic jams) that causes people to forget how to drive?
Yesterday I had lunch with my parents. Mom had started to make some mac n cheese (from the box -- Kraft) and she goes: I don't remember how to make it Kathy. That hit me like a ton of bricks. If she is even beginning to forget how to make something that simple.........And she gets way upset over small things. Like she sent dad to the store to pick up a few groceries. She wanted 2 pounds of hamburger. So he came home with two 1 pound packs of hamburger. She came whispering to me that he hadn't bought what she wanted. She wanted to make a big meatloaf. I said but you asked for 2 pounds of hamburger right? Yeah, but look at these small packs he bought! Mom that is a total of 2 pounds. Oh forget it. After I left she sent dad back to the store to get more hamburger.
Everytime I go visit mom waits until dad is out of the room and tries to whisper about things he is doing. He isn't doing anything he hasn't before but now it's a big deal to her.
I guess her mind is going more and more. I am lucky I don't live in the same house as I don't think I could handle it (along with all my own problems), dad is muddling through. I keep hoping it's just a bad dream. Or if it's real it won't get anyworse. But it isn't a dream and her mind seems to keep getting worse. You can forget about getting her to go to the doctor before her next appointment. She is bound to know things aren't right, but she refuses to see a doctor until it's time. God knows I love her, but.........
I shouldn't complain. Russ just lost his mom and at least I still have mine.
Oops, forgot to upload a graphic for my signature. Well you can live without it today can't you?

Five Things
I think I have done this sometime before but I can't remember. So here we are again. Over at Bam Bam's I see that she was tagged to tell 5 things we don't know about her. She didn't tag me but offered it up to everyone. So here I go (if you knew this stuff already tell me and I'll try to come up with something different.)
I haven't done it in over 20 years, but I have a red belt in American Freestyle Karate. I hate that I stopped taking classes and would love to get back into it again. Different styles of Karate have different belt ranks, where I was taking I was about 6 months away from my brown belt, and then would come black.
I stood up to a cop once and almost got arrested. Yeah little ole me stood up for what I thought to be right and the policeman threated to arrest me there on the spot. Why? Someone had called the cops on a neighbor's dog that had gotten loose. I didn't see it happen, but when the police showed up he claimed the dog ran to attack him and he shot and killed it. Right there in the dog's own yard. The neighbor had a fenced in back yard and there were 2 more dogs inside the fence. More police showed up and the dog catcher. They were going to go into my neighbor's fenced in back yard and take the dogs. OVER MY DEAD BODY! A and his wife were at church and someone was going to go get him, but the police weren't going to wait they were bound and determeded to take the dogs. So I go to the gate and grab hold of the fence. No one was going through that gate to get into the yard and take the dogs. Mr Police Man got REALLY, REALLY mad at me. Threated to arrest me. I'm like the dogs are in the yard, they haven't done anything wrong, the owner is on his way and you can just wait. Mr Police Man started to see red I think. So we go back and forth and finally A gets home (before I get handcuffed thank God). Dog Catcher askes to see the paperwork for the dogs rabies shots, and whatever. A goes in the house and comes out with the papers. Everything was in order, so the Dog Catcher left. Didn't take any dogs with him. If I hadn't been there they would have taken the 2 dogs and A would have had to pay to get them back. He already had one dead dog laying on his front lawn he didn't need the hassel of the others being taken away. I don't believe for a minute that the dog Mr Police Man killed had tried to attack him. It was way to friendly of a dog.
I have 2 associate degrees from the local technical/community college. The first I got was in Executive Secretarial science. After graduation I couldn't find a job in the field so I went back and got my AAS degree in Business Adminstration (graduated with honors that time! Yeah me!) I never did get a job in either field. But I did get tons of interviews.
Tired of not getting a job in my chosen field, and didn't want to work as a cashier (in a furniture store) all my life I lied to get a job. I went to one of those temp agencys. They asked me if I could do data entry (this was years ago before anyone had PC's), I knew how to type so I said yeah I can do that. They gave me a typing test and sent me out on a job. I didn't have the first clue to what I was going to have to do. But I quickly learned, and I learned that every job had a different set up so I would have to have been trained anywhere the agency had sent me.
I have had many crushes but at the age of 24 I fell in love for the first time ever. I was turned stupid and blind by this love. It is amazing how stupid and blind a person can be. Needless to say D ripped out my heart, spit on it, stomped on it, tore it into pieces, and set it on fire. I have never been quite the same.
So there you have 5 things you probably didn't know about me. What about you? Got 5 things I don't know about?
thanks Roxy for the tag!!!!
don't forget you can add tags to your entries now! woo hoo

Sunday December 17th
I think this is a really cute graphic. Watch the stickman towards the bottom of the ornament. LOL
Three (that's 3) new entries over here: Trying Not To Be Bah Humbug! Go enjoy and have some fun.
Nothing much going on around here in my little corner of the world. Heard thru the grapevine (because my brother and his family have a weird way of telling any body anything.) that my oldest niece's live-in boyfriend has been arrested for beating up on her. Supposedly someone else called the police and they came and picked him up. I thought she would have to be the one to make the call, etc......Whatever happened the guy is in jail and my brother went to get my niece (which is so hard for me to believe he would do that) and brought her back to her parents house. She was living in VA, and brother dear lives here in NC. She always seems to pick men that will beat on her. She knew the one boyfriend beat on his ex-wife because he did jail time for it. ::sigh::

Got this in an email
Read this question, come up with an answer and then
scroll down to the bottom
for the result. This is not a trick question. It is as it
reads
No one I know has got it right.
A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met
a guy whom she did not know.
She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to
be her dream guy so much, that
she fell in love with him right there, but never asked
for his number and could not find him.
A few days later she killed her sister.
Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?
(Give this some thought before you answer, see answer
below)
Answer:
She was hoping the guy would appear at the funeral
again. If you answered this
correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test
by a famous American
Psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality
as a killer.
Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and
answered the question correctly.
If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for
you.
If you got the answer correct, please let me know so I
can take you off my e-mail list...
Check out.......

Stole this from another J-lander.
Ladies you MUST check this out!
Got this link: Click here!!
From over here: Ermmm... I think we should ask HIM how he found this web site! LOL
::sigh:: just another "thrilling" entry LOL
I love the graphic above. D over at This and that, and hockey! made it. It is beautiful and it speaks to me in some way. I may have to use it again before Christmas is all over.
I must admit that I didn't watch the entire video that is posted below. I loved watching the cats (-- I had seen a similar act at the local fair a few years ago.) and couldn't figure out what had some of you so upset. So I did what I should have done in the first place and watch all of the video. I have to admit that the "slinging" the cats around doesn't seem right. I am sorry that I posted something that some found really offense, and I must agree with you on that one point.
I know I haven't been commenting (or posting much here) lately. So sorry. Last week and this week have been lousy for me. Oh nothing major just that the past few years the holidays just have gotten more and more depressing for me.
Last week I went for my yearly mammogram. I haven't heard anything so I am assuming everything is ok. But the woman who took the X-rays was just brutal. For some reason, known only to her, she took them out of sequence and then she got all confused and couldn't remember which she had taken and which she hadn't. Then she got me all mushed and standing in a very uncomfortable angle and she couldn't find the right thing to put on the x-ray (you know the little words that let whoever reads the film to know if it was the left or right breast, etc.....) took forever for her to find it. I was not just uncomfortable I was in pain and the idiot didn't know what the heck she was doing. Was totally mad when I left the place. I had never had such a horrible time trying to get a mammogram done.
This week I went to the dentist for a cleaning. I really don't mind that too bad but my null is at an all time high so I knew sitting there would be miserable. Got jumped on by the nulland the dentist for not wearing my night guard the way I should. Good thing though Dr P told me that unless I wanted to see him I didn't have to come back until time for my next cleaning. His way of telling me no cavities! He just got married (2nd time) this year and I think it must be agreeing with him.
Went to the shrink and we talked about how the meds weren't working. How much worse the anxiety (and panic attacks) is getting. The meds I'm on is "supposed to be really good in helping with anxiety". I told him yeah, they are good -- at making things worse. So he ups the dose and says to try that and see how it works. ::sigh:: I tell him if it works the way it has in the past the anxeity will be bad enough I won't be leaving my house anymore. He then says I'll get you a month worth of samples and see you after the first of the year. Big help.
Been having lots of headaches lately. Dr and I agree that they are probably coming from all the anxeity/panic attacks I have been having. ::sigh::
After I tooK Sophie last week to get a nail trim I get a postcard in the mail saying she is due for a rabies shot this month. Now why in the heck didn't someone mention it when I was in there? Now that will be another trip. Neither I nor Sophie want to go back.
Did you hear? Jeff is gone and Joe is back as Journal Editor?
AOL Journals: Magic Smoke I left a lame comment over there that sounded like I was glad that Jeff was let go. That isn't what I meant to say. Jeff sounded like he was looking forward to what was to come and I am happy for himabout that. But it reads more like I put my foot in my mouth. ::sigh:: I am really happy to have Joe back though. I missed him.
Russ if you are reading this I am worried about you. I am so sorry that your mom probably won't be with "us" much longer. I know this hasbeen a long hard ordeal for you. I wish I knew something to say or do to make it easier for you but I can't, and I am really sorry. Love ya to pieces.
Sorry this entry is so long.
Isn't this guy just adorable?:
