Rainy, icky Monday.

First let me thank Vivian for the help with this special back-
ground.  I couldn't have done it without you.

Today has basically been "one of those days".  Got up early
went and picked up mom and we had breakfast out.  Then
off to my aunt's house to do some stuff and to be there when
the Rescue Mission comes to pick up the furniture.  We get
to the house and turn up the heat and start to work.  After
a while mom realises that it isn't getting any warmer in the
house.  Yep, the furnace wasn't working.

As we try to work in the cold a lense drops out of moms
glasses.  A screw had come out of the frame so there was
no popping the lense back in.  I told mom it was her sister
          getting even for something!  LOL

Oh, and then mom drops and breaks this little thing she was
using as an ashtray.  I told her that it was her sister, see
Aunt E hated smoking and would not allow it in her house.

As the day goes on and it is cold (cold and rainy outside too)
I keep going through things and mom is just trying to stay
warm.  Around 2:15 pm I call the Rescue Mission to see
how much longer it will be.  They take my number and had
the driver call me back.  We were to be stop 20 of 22 stops.
That would mean we could be frozen by the time they
showed up.  I explained about the heat and they said they
would do the stop they were on and then skip to us.
Thank Goodness!  They came in about 20 minutes and in about
15 minutes after they got there we were on our way home.

I get home and find a beautiful Christmas card from Deb.  It
really brightened up my dreary day.  Thanks Deb.

I then rushed to take Sadie to the vet.  She has the beginnings
of an infection.  Dr B and I decided that Sadie was a little
Princess, and Sophie was the one in the royal family that ends
up in the tabloids!  LOL  Sophie is my little "wild child".  LOL

The weather is still crappy outside, but I am warm with my
little four footed babies and all is right with the world at
the moment  (may not be later, but for right now).

Oh {{{{{Kathy}}}}} it came out perfectly.....hey all I did was send the HTML and a color code site...you found the background and you had the idea to make it show up better with a dark background  :)
You had me laughing when I read how you told your mother her sister was getting back at her  :)

It's funny how things like that work. I believe your thoughts to be true though. At Dre's grandfather's wake the lady kept turning the light on over his head. But Big Daddy (that's what we called him) didn't like no lights on in the house. Well it went out and then the lady went and put a new bulb in the lamp over his head. Gurl the light busted I mean literally busted. We all just sat there with our mouths open.

Kathy~ I really like this post...you sig tag is so meaningful and I feel the chill from the falling snow and your story. B-r-r-r!

WOW! You felt your Aunt E's presence in her house or something...cold, things breaking that were significant. What a story! I am so glad you got that done and your mom was with you and you had a nice breakfast before you began the job.

Back home everything is ok though and I'm glad.  Christmas is coming and you are doing good things this year by helping out with your Aunt's estate. I bought my fish a stocking to hang on his aquarium and people laugh. It helps out lifting the spirit.  Suzy Colorado
