Yes...I have heard of this, especially since I work in an ER. But I didn't know it has actually been around for awhile. My 20yr old "adopted" daughter, Elizabeth, informed me that kids were doing this when she was in high school. Scary!!
Yep Ive heard about this. Its not funny. I actually saw a show about this on Oprah. Its very serious and scary.

Hi, got the link here from One Strange Cat. I have to say, I remember kids doing this when I was in junior high, in 1965! I remember seeing a girl being held tightly aroung the upper chest, (she volunteered for this!) until she passed out, and then she dropped to the ground. I remember feeling very alarmed by it, but NOTHING was ever said about it being dangerous. It was just a game to the kids.....If fact as the years went by I forgot about it, until a year or so ago, when I heard about it again and that kids were dying. My sympathies to the parents, what a terrible, terrible tragedy.
