Hello everyone. I am so glad today is Saturday. I spent every day this past week taking my mom to appointments for one thing and then other. I love my mom, but I hate running around every single day just to sit in a waiting room somewhere.
It was a month yesterday that my Aunt E died. It still doesn't seem real to me. Even while going through her things in her house it just doesn't seem like she is gone. It's weird. I thought I would feel more of a loss by now. I don't get it.
Saw this Birthday Calculator thing in someone's journal so I thought I would try it. Hey I am 23,703,387 minutes old! WOO HOO. And the most exciting thing is that on my next birthday it says:
You can boil 5.26 US ounces of water with that many candles.
I think I could have lived a little longer before I found out that there would be enough candles on my cake to boil water!
I was in Wal-Mart today and saw a huge stack of the new Harry Potter book. Usually I wait for the paperback to come out but seeing how they had it on sale for $15.98, well I just had to get it. Haven't started reading it yet though.
I have been meaning to tell you that a few weeks ago I found a ladies purse in the middle of the road. Pulled up to a stoplight and saw it laying there. The light was red so I dashed out of my car and picked up the purse. Got back into the car just as the light turned green. As soon as I got home I checked it for ID and called the police. (I wan't chasing down this lady.) We the police came to my house they had sent 2 police cars. (Great, give the neighbors something to talk about.) So they take the purse and write down all my info. I got a call later from the police saying they had found the lady and given her purse back to herand they gave her my phone number because she wanted to call to thank me. I wasn't so sure how I liked that, but nothing I could do about it. So when my phone rang I just let the answering machine get it. It was a hispanic male with very broken English thanking me so very much for turning in the purse. That turned out to be really nice. I am glad that I let the answering machine get it though because his English was so bad it would have been hard to carry on a conversation with him.
Took Sophie yesterday to checked out. Her spay was the week before and it was time to check everything out. She is healing nicely. I did find out that the animal shelter was supposed to put an ID chip in her and they didn't. They missed it somehow. I have to take her back to the shelter sometime and they will put it in. If it wasn't covered in the adoption cost I wouldn't go all the back over there, but since it is I will. I need to get a chip for Sadie too. I guess I will shell out the $25 to have Dr B do it for me.
Can you believe that AOL J-land is turning 2 years old? Vivian did such a great job last year with the celebration. I knew this year there wouldn't be such a big-to-do for the occassion, but it would be nice if everyone mentioned it. This is the torch she has posted at her place: (Sorry Viv, I just copy/pasted hope you don't mind!)
Vivian has dedicated her journal to Pamela. Pamela is a terrific woman who has just recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. I have learned so much from Pamela during this past year. If not for her help my journal would not be all that it is today. So I also salute you Pamela for the great woman and AOL J-lander that you truly are. I know you will defeat the cancer and be with us for many more J-land anniversaries to come.
Oh, this torch (that I stole) was created by Coy, click here to go there. You can also click on the torch to go to Pamela's place.
Guess I have made this entry long enough. So I will shut up now and leave you with this:

No way am I going to try that age thing either. LOL.
Don't blame you for hating taking your mom around. It has nothing to do with love. I loved my mom too, but sitting around waiting rooms for hours IS the pits!!!
Sorry I've missed so many of your entries. Am slowly catching up. Hugs and always my prayers. *Barb*
