Last day of July 2005

Hope everyone has been having a great weekend.  Today we have had tons and tons of rain.  I am sure the creek behind my house must be out of its banks.  I am too lazy to walk back and look. LOL

Right now I have 2 cats trying to lay on my mouse pad.  Sadie is sitting on half of it and Sophie has her hind legs laying around the mouse.  So cute, yet annoying.  I can't move my mouse!

This is for Pamela:

Why the happy dance?  Because Pamela just had her first round of chemo and (in her words not mine) "i'm alive ~  i'm NOT deathly ill".  Yeah for Pamela!  I knew there were all kinds of new drugs to help with the effects of chemo but I was worried that she would be really sick.

My doctor has upped some of my meds (sorry Tom Cruise).  I hope they will kick in soon.  I have been really moody and crying a lot.

Tomorrow I will take my dad for an MRI on his right knee to see if they will need to operate.  I really hope they won't.  If they do then he won't be driving for probably 6 weeks or so (he isn't driving now because of the pain pills he is taking) and I will have to do all the running around for him and mom (she quit driving about a year or so ago).  I shouldn't complain I know.  I love my parents and will do anything for them, but lately I feel a bit stretched and stressed for all I am having to do for everyone.

I hate housework and you can tell it by the looks of my place.  I really have to get off my hiney and do some work around here.  I just can't seem to get motived to do anything.  I did manage to get my jeans washed yesterday.  WOO HOO

I really don't eat the way I should -- I have a thing against green veggies -- so when I saw at a GNC store that you could get something to help replace all the good stuff that is in them I thought I would try it.  It's called Maximum Greens.  It is a powder that you can mix with water or whatever.  It is sooooo nasty tasting in water!  I knew by just looking at it that it would taste terrible.  So today I tried mixing it in diet Dr Pepper.  Tasted some better but I didn't have it mixed real good so at the bottom of the glass was chunks that I just couldn't down.  The powder is easier than eating 6 servings of veggies, but I'm not so sure about the taste.

My Aunt Betty is out of the hospital.  I haven't talked to her yet but dad says she is doing fine.  Yeah.

The monkeys above are so cute that I had to share the graphic.  I don't remember where I got it from.

Take care.

send some rain our way we are soooooooo dry The cats sound cuteand  m so glad for Pam that is doing so well .
Now if TOM CRUISE does not like you taking meds for your problem then he can just come rub your feet and give you a nice massage to make you feel better if he really thinks meds are not needed. WE have recommended getting my granny paxil. shes such atyrant with the kids in the hood. GRRRRRRRRR shes go to do smething or someone is going to cme bop her on the head. I would if she yelled at my kids like that.
Hope your dads tests turn out okay and glad your autns out.

Hi Kathy,
I know aexactly how you feel about being overly stretched and I don't like to complain as I love my folks and am so happy to help them.  Most people don't live as long as they have they are 87 & 89, I run errands for them all the time and visit several times in a week.  AS much as I love them it does wear me down, I have a hard time getting my own stuff done, housework...I hate it too!  laundry, yard work.
I say to hell with Tom Cruise I think he really made a lot of people angry and I am one of them...what a jerk!
Hope you feel better Kathy and I know that you will.
Love,
Donna

You're right, Kathy.  The monkeys are cute.  And yes that was GREAT news about Pamela and her making it okay through her first chemo session.  Now, open a can of cat food and those two darlings will just scoot right off that mouse pad, LOL!

Kathy ~ You have the greatest graphics...so funny. I love the monkeys and Pam's Happy Dance. I'm snagging these for other friends in need, if you don't mind. Went to a great conference yesterday online called BloGHer, all women. It was right here in SV but I was online chatting all day. It will come again next year. Link is on my journal if you want to check out other links and the news, etc.

You are such a dedicated daughter and neice. Remember to pamper yourself as well!

Love, your friend,
Suzy Colorado

LOL! Maximum Greens and a Dr. Pepper? You kill me! I've heard of the stuff and I'm glad you confirmed it's as nasty as I thought it would be. I'll stick to eating veggies thank you. :-) Very glad ot hear your Aunt is out of the hospital. Mine is definitely tryig to put me IN one with her ridiculous antics.

And I'll say it here loud and clear: TOM CRUISE IS A LOON! I'm all for meds (obviosuly lol).  They can do a body good!
