just a saturday in july

The weather has been unbeliveably HOT lately.  Whew.  Can't wait for fall.

I finished reading the new Harry Potter book yesterday.  I won't spoil it for you if you haven't read it, but I will tell you that I HATE the way it ended.  I am so ticked.  What age group are these books supposed to written for?  It has some pretty big words in it.

Sadie hasn't been acting as if she felt well so I took her to the vet yesterday.  Dr B wasn't available so we had to go with another vet there.  Sadie is used to Dr B so switching vets on her didn't make her happy.  Then he tried  (note the word tried) to give her some fluids but she wasn't going to have any of that.  So on to a shot, oops, I see 3 needles.  Sadie starts freaking out when the first hits, and it was a job getting the other 2 in.  It was really horrible.  I have never seen her act that way.  She tried to bite and scratch Dr H and his assisant.  That is not like her at all.

This graphic doesn't really have much to do with anything.  Well 'cept the cat box is in the same room as my computer and Sophie hasn't learned to cover her poop.  Sorry folks, but some things just stink.

Here's a few links for you to check out:  Vince's poem for J-land's anniversary: check out Shelli's lastest entry telling about her clothes and totes you can order off her website:  send Pamela some love as she soon starts chemo:  read Patrick's farwell to "Mr Scott": and lastly check out Angela's thoughts on letting life pass you by.

If you have the time go to Pamela's AOL Journal Directory and click on a few journals that you haven't read yet.  Maybe you will find something you like.

Not much going on here although I seem to stay busy somehow.  Still taking my own good time going through my Aunt E's house and getting rid of things.

Take care.  Love you all.

Hey Kathy,
Nice Entry.
I don't know about Harry Potter but son sure does, although he read the first book he would rather just see the movies and play video games, but seems to have lost interest in the games.
I think you are wise in taking your time with your Aunt's stuff.  It's not easy.  Brother died nearly 2 years ago, suddenly and still haven't cleared out all of his stuff, sometimes just too hard, time heals all wounds...right?  Or so they keep telling me.
Sorry about Sadie...
Have a great day in July.

I did not know about this journal. Someone came by and visiited mine and mentioned the name of your journal...saying that's how they found mine. Thank you for mentioning me and I'm so glad you're journaling. I stopped by your old journal and saw no entries for a while. I thought you were just taking a break, like me. : )
I'll go and read some entries now.
Hugs,
Angela
