Feels more like spring every day

The weather here is great.  It got up to almost 70 degrees!  Supposed to be in the 70's all week!  I am so thrilled!  Weather so effects my moods.

I have been needing gas and kept putting it off.  Well I should have never waited.  Today I paid $2.15 a gallon.  I don't think I have ever paid over $2.00 before.  I really don't remember seeing it hit $2.00 before.

Hospice came in to see my Aunt E this past week.  They are such wonderful people.  I am so glad the doctor hooked us up with them.  They thought my aunt could use a wheel chair (though I don't know if she would use it) so they brought her one in.  Yesterday they brought her another bed!  It's more like a hospital bed, you can adjust it and it has side rails.  My aunt LOVES it!  I like the thought of them checking in on my aunt once a week (to start, the worse she gets the more they go).  They check her out head to toe to make sure everything is ok.  And I like the social contact it gives my aunt.

This past week I was so sick. (sick as a dog?  why do they call it that?)  It was the worse cold (or whatever it was) I think I have ever had.  I didn't feel like doing anything.  I spent very little time on the computer.  Just didn't feel like sitting up.  Yesterday was the first day that I started to feel better, today I think I am back to normal.  Whatever "normal" is.

Oh my, I am glad you are starting to feel better.  You don't need a cold when it's Spring and there are so many beautiful things to enjoy.

I am happy you were able to get hospice workers for your Aunt.  They are very special people who do such an important job.

Kathy~ So happy to see your entry and it is full of spring! Sick like a dog...well, you went away like a hurt animal until you were well. Maybe we are all like that. Anyway you are back and that makes me happy. Prayers answered. Happy Spring! Weather better where you are than here in Silicon Valley but now the sun is shining! And gas prices are great where you live! Can you believe it? In Malibu it is over $3 a gallon and has been over $2 something a gal here for several months! So glad to read your journal again! Love ~ Suzy C.

Hi Kathy-
So glad that Hospice is taking care of your Aunt, they are simply Angels. As you know they care for my Mom and see her three times a week (the RN) and the CNA is there twice a week. Her condition is worsening so soon it will be everyday.

You think $2.00 is a lot, we pay almots $2.75 here in Las Vegas, and Iv'e seen it as high as $2.85 (these are mid-grade prices, low grade prices are about $2.40). If you are lucky, you can find a some stations that sell mid-grade for $2.40. Isn't it outrageous?? The news is saying that the prices have peaked, so to speak. I don't believe it for one minute. It would not suprise me one bit to see our gas prices to get to $3.00 (or more) by mid summer in Las Vegas and other parts of the country.

Hope you are feeling better and over your cold. I just hate to be sick.

Take care,
Schoolgal040 (Gayla)
