I am so tired. Why you ask?
Well there are things around the
house that I have been wanting
to do but kept putting off. Today
I decided that the carpet in my
bedroom HAS to come up. Has
to. It is really nasty and I can't
stand to look at it anymore.
Why is it so nasty?
My cats! I guess it is what the
carpet is made of but I can't get
stains from cat puke out it. I
have tried everything. Finally
gave up. Carpets are coming
up. Already have the carpet out
of the living room and hallway.
So I grabbed some
tools and started ripping up the
carpet. I only have gotten half
the room up. Why? Several
reasons. Main one is furniture.
I moved everything to one side
of the room and cut the carpet
down the middle. Then I cut
that side into 3rds. I would
rip up a 3rd then work on getting
the nail strip up and the staples
from where they stapled down
the padding.
By the time I got everything up
and made sure nothing was left
sticking up that could hurt the
kitties I was ready to call it a
day.
Tomorrow afternoon I plan on
moving everything and getting
the rest of the carpet up. That
will leave carpet just in the
spare room (where the computer
bookcases, and cat box is).
Not sure when I will get around
to getting the carpet up in here.
I should do something with the
floor in the bedroom first.
Tomorrow I go for my mamogram
What about the rest of you
ladies? This is breast cancer
awareness month. Call and
make an appointment. Men
urge the women in your life
to make an appointment.
Thanks to Stuart I have
found the site to go to
relive stress. Oh yeah. Just
click on the blinkie here:
Hopefully the links in this
entry will open a new window
And Pamela look the blinkie
has no ugly frame around it.

Wow, I love this whole entry, well, except for the fact that you're working so hard. Carpets are such a pain to deal with. Wish I were there to help. Must say, Kathy, if I had to vote on which Kathy tag I like the most it would be difficult. I really love the one used in this entry. Hugs. *Barb*
LOL I can definitely relate to the no carpet thing! I gave up on having carpet years ago. Now if I could just teach 'em not to hurl on the bedspread. Love your green daisy background.. very unique! ¤Holly
GOod job for you. You did good you need to share pics of your work and new floor I love your scare crow graphic
Wow, that is hard work ripping up carpet. Take it easy tonight.
Love,
Kat
Kathy your doing great. Wow I am impressed with you doing it yourself. What are you going to put down. John
WOW Kathy you sure have been a busy bee! Love the graphics you used. ~Wendy~
Cats and carpets definitely do not mix. In fact, cats and anything-you-want-to-keep-nice-in-your-entire-house do not mix.
Good luck on getting all that carpet up. My mother got sick of her wallpaper one day and just decided to start ripping it off. LOL She got about half of it off [a HUGE mess] and then got tired of the project. To this day, she still has only half her wallpaper in the master bath. Moral of the story? Once you start, don't stop!! LOL
Kathy! Who made your name tag for you? I love it! And I want one! :-(
