I had to take Sadie back to the vet today. And she was not a happy camper about it. She had been having quite a few spams with her esphogus and had cut way back in her eatting so I knew I would have to take her back.
Unfortunately Dr B was off today (and all of next week or I would have waited for him) so we had to see Dr Mac. First thing she does is feel of Sadie's knees. Ok, not what we went for, but I was told way back that Sadie had bad knees. She doesn't seem to be having a problem with them so I ignore them for now. By the time Dr Mac finishes with feeling of her knees Sadie is in a bad mood. Dr Mac said I told you she had bad knees. Right at that moment neither Sadie or I cared.
Next Dr wants to take Sadie's tempature. Sadie really wasn't in the mood for that. I couldn't hold her still and Dr Mac was having problems so we had to get a tech to hold onto Sadie. Sadie is meowing (something she never does) and acts like she could bite someone.
No fever. I could have told her that. Now Dr Mac looks at Sadie's chart to see what Dr B did last time we had this problem. Shots, 3 of them for 3 days.
Now Dr Mac is like well if it worked last time I guess it is what we will do this time. duh Now she comes at Sadie with needles. Can you guess the attitude Sadie has now? If Dr Mac hadn't messed with her knees and took the temp givng the shots would have been easier.
Actually I don't think Sadie liked the fact that it wasn't Dr B taking care of her. The second Dr Mac touched her Sadie was ready to go home.
We get the shots and go pay the bill. $68. Sadie is ready to leave. I sit her down (she is on a lease mind you) and she practically runs towards the car. By the time I pull into the drive way she lets out a meow and wants out of the car. I have the lease on her so I open the door (while I am taking off my seat belt, etc...) Sadie jumps out and starts for the house. I could not get out of the car fast enough for her or get the front door open fast enough.
Can't wait till Monday when we go back for another shot. Hopefully Dr Mac won't play with her knees again, and will keep the themometer hidden. Or Sadie might just tell her where she can put it.

ahhhh poor sadie. yes some vets are just better are know not to irritate before the main part. I only have one vet he has no helper that can be bad or that can be good. depending. I sure hope Sadie gets better Lori

Wonderful graphics. Wishing your cat better soon.
Poor baby, I hope Sadie gets well soon. I hate to take our girls to the vet it's so stressful for them and when the Dr. does excessive poking and prodding it only makes matters worse.
Wow I like the siggy at the end of this entry its so cool.
awww, poor Sadie.

Awwww...poor Sadie. My advice to the Vet is to wear gloves and possibly body armour...lol
Be blessed.......Trina
Poor Sadie. Pets get used to doctors, just like people do. We don't like it when they switch doctors on us, probe us unnecessarily, and neither do animals. And it's bound to be tougher on them since they can't possibly understand that everyone is just trying to help them. I hope, at least, that the shots work and give her some relief from her symptoms. Maybe she'll start eating a little better. ::hugs::
