Monday, August 30th

Sadie is eating -- finally. Took talking about surgeries and worse to get the point across to her.  Dr B and I agreed to try a few things before any surgery stuff.  And guess what?  My idea worked.  Even though the steriods she was on should have caused her to eat more --- well, we stopped them and she started eating!  Go figure!  Dr B thinks she heard us talking surgery and it freaked her out!

So it looks like what was to help her was hurting her.  Stopped the steroids and went back to an anti-acid to help with her acid reflux (I can see some of you shaking your heads on that one, but trust me the cat has acid reflux just like humans do.).  She is a happier kitty.  And is back to sleeping beside me again.

Sadie loves riding in the car.  I went and bought a doggie booster seat to see if she would use it.  She doesn't like it and I can't figure out why.  She would rather sit/lay on my shoulder while I am driving.  Today we went for a short ride -- no trip to the vet this time -- and she loved it.  I really wish she would use the booster seat though.  Maybe after a few more trips she will decide that she can still look out and not have to hang all over "mom" while we are out.

Haven't been writing much in my journals lately.  I just haven't really cared to.  All I have wanted to do is sleep and get  Sadie to eat.  And that is about all I have done for the past week.

Aww that's great! I wish the vet could figure out what is going on with my poor kitty. She's lost a ton of weight. Her heart and lungs sound fine, vet says her abdomen feels fine. She had a UTI but that's been gone for a month and she is still painfully thin. *sigh* I just wish I spoke cat. -B

Glad to hear My Blue Faery Jr. is on the mend... :) I believe it about the steriods..they do funky things to man and beast alike...you can never be sure what's going to happen. I'm glad you felt like posting a bit..I haven't felt much like it myself lately, but I'm carrying 14 hrs @ school so I guess it's understandable. Just make sure all that sleepin' doesn't turn into ultra-depression. Who'd drive Sadie around then?

(((Kathy))) sorry to read that you've been having a rough week, but hope that both you and Sadie are on the mend!  I know how it is to be down, and then be also dealing with vet/medical stuff for our little furry babies!

I'm glad that your pastor called you last weekend when you hadn't been attending church...  people do obviously care about you!   Take care, Albert

I love your sleeping cat. What a great idea to have your own search engine. This could be used in other places too, I assume like websites! I have been looking for something like this! Bless you, Kathy.  Suzy C.
