Cell phone troubles

I would have never gotten myself a cell phone.  But my parents got one and in the deal mom told dad he would get a 2nd one to give to me.  Sometimes being the youngest, still single, live right around the corner, does have it's perks.  LOL

The other night I couldn't get the phone to charge.  I called my dad and the "man gene" said I had to have done something wrong, bring it over and he will fix it.  Well it wasn't anything I was or wasn't doing!  So there "Mr. Man Gene"! lol

Dad took it to get it looked out.  Something about the "mother board" or whatever had problems and Mr. Cell Phone Man fixed it.  He fixed it alright.  Didn't know how well he had fixed it until the next day when I was visiting Aunt Betty.

Mom tried to call me and kept getting my mailbox.  So she dialed their cell phone number --thinking she had gotten the numbers confused (which Dad had left at home) and my phone rang.  Wasn't until I played around with both phones later that day that I finally figured out what was happening.  When Mr Cell Phone Man fixed my phone he somehow turned off my phone number and put my dad's number in it's place!  Dad's phone wasn't ringing but mine would when you dialed HIS number.  If you dialed my number you went directly into my voice mailbox!

Mr Cell Phone Man got it straightened out.  It was his fault and he couldn't say it wasn't.

My dad's "Mr Man Gene" is still intact even though I did nothing to harm my phone.

Nothing is simple anymore...I don't even know how to use any of the stuff on my cell phone.  I use answer and erase.  That's it.  Hugs...

It s always nice when you have extra money. I like ot put a little back and have more than lesss. Yes Cellphones can be a pain. We had or rather Tracy had gotten this little teeny tiny phone one time . It was a pain so we went back to this other one that was better than our old one but not the hi tech of the little one. It s been working great. But you know the whole time this one phone guy insisted it was us till this lady was finally there and she got it fixed right away. Lori

where would we be without all their sound advice!
Personally I refuse to get a cellphone. Pain in the butt! The kids fuss for their own and we tried it out for the oldest he broke it in a couple of months.  now I don't want to hear another word about a cell phone.

Hello. Thanks for visiting my journal & your compliment about my Top Picks Parody!

Re: the man gene; I have it for some things. I'm great at reading instruction manuals for instance. Female friends of mine never think to do that. My problem is a little different: I'm missing the GAY gene in certain areas, like home decorating--I'm a slob just like most straight guys. Go figure!  --Albert

LoL... as much as I hate the telephone, I almost hate the cell phone even more.  I leave the house so people can't reach me by phone!  The cell revolution has ruined all my plans.  tehehe..

Hope you got it all worked out and that you're getting your proper bling-blings now.  [Not to be confused with bling-bling.. but you know...]

Too funny.  Glad you got it all worked out.  You'll be amazed at how you ever lived without a cell once you have one!
