Meg tagged me
I don't believe it. I got tagged! By Meg, and this one is hard!
Name 5 of your WEIRDEST habits.....
Now, I DON'T have any weird habits, but I guess I will have to
come up with something that is "normal" that weirdo's like you
guys don't do! LOL
1 I prefer to sleep on the couch than in my bed.
2 I buy cards/postcards of weird pictures and make a scrap-
book page around them.
3 I will buy kids meals at McDonalds or wherever for the toys.
I have "Mike" from monsters, inc on my desk and a couple of
"furbies" from BurgerKing in my kitchen window.
4 I have to have a extra pillow or stuffed animal to hug while
sleeping. Even when I had surgery I took stuffed animals to
the hospital with me. One made into the operating room.
5 I like to munch on pork skins while on the computer.
See, I am NOT weird at all, nope, no weird habits here.

Poor Sadie
Had to take Sadie back to the vet today. The regular one was
out so we had to settle for Dr Mac instead. She took blood
to make sure nothing more was going on than a respitory infection.
She had to stick my baby not once, not twice, but three times
to get blood. I was a wreck so I know Sadie must have been.
Sadie is still losing weight. The other week she was 4.0 pounds,
today she was 3.7 Dr Mac says it is because Sadie can't
smell her food so she isn't eatting that much.
Anyways, I left the vets office with some nose drops and
$116 added to my Visa card.
Took my Christmas money yesterday to the mall and bought
myself a ring. Love it. I have tried to take a picture so
you can see it but I can't get it to come out clear for some
reason.
Right now I am on hold on the phone. I am trying to talk to
someone at my health insurance place. They say I have a
"greater than 30 minute wait", and that I can call back "during
a less busy time". When is that less busy time? Got me as I have
been trying different times and still get the wait message.
Well, I really should go and spend some time cuddling up with
my babies. Sadie had such a terrible time at the vets she needs
some extra love.
Take care. If I don't post again before New Years I hope
that you have a SAFE, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Another Christmas come and gone
Can you believe that Christmas is over and that
a new year is almost here? Remember when
the year 2000 rolled in and everyone just
knew the computers would all stop working
or worse that it would be the end of time?
Wonder if people still have stock piles of food
and water from that? Did you have any
computer problems? I didn't have a computer
at the time.
I thought my little Sadie was going to be all
well when I got that last pill into her on Sat.
Wrong. She is still sneezing up stuff. I called
the vet and to save a trip (for Sadie not me)
he said come on and he would give (sell me)
some more meds. He has had other patients
that didn't respond to the other stuff. Here's
hoping this new stuff does the trick.
For Christmas I got one of the best gifts you
can get. Cash! Oh, I got some CD's and a
few other things, but I can really get excited
over cash! LOL
New Years Resolutions anyone? Not me. You
know chances are good that you are not going
to keep them. The past few years I have
gone with "try to be a nicer person and a
better Christian". Hopefully I do ok with
something that broad and general! LOL
Not much to say. Hope everyone is healthy
and looking forward to a new year.

Our Troops
Read about this in today's newspaper. Someone has started an "internet radio station" that is for our troops. It seems kinda cool. You can listen to the station, give "shout outs" to the troops (if you have the right computer exquipment). They even have an on line store for you to buy things. Click on the graphic below to go check it out. If you like what you see/hear then pass it along.

The Christmas Story
Matthew 1:18-25
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before thy came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary you wife, for that which is conceived in her is the Holy Spirit.
21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for he will save His people from their sins."
22 So all this was done that is might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."
24 The Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded hims and took to him his wife,
25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.
Luke 2:1-20
1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that ll the world should be registered.
2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.
3 So all went to be registered, everone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child.
6 So it was, that while they were theree, the days wer completed for her to be delivered.
7 And she brought forth herfirstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, becausethere was no room for them in the inn.
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
10 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this will be the sigh to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us."
16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
Sometimes I wonder
With Christmas coming up I have started to wonder about that very first Christmas day. These are some of my questions I ask myself:
How warm or cold was it?
How did Mary feel when she looked down at her baby. Did she see her little boy or did she see the Son of God?
What about those shepards? They were scared when the angels appeared to them, but what must it have been like?
How was Joseph feeling when Jesus was born?
Did the sky look like it does now -- 'cept for that one star?
Did the people around Mary realize that her baby was the Son of God? or was He just another baby being born?
Wonder about Mary's and Joseph's families if they knew or understood what was happening?
The Wise Men weren't there that night but how did they know and how did they feel when they were traveling to find Jesus?
Why do we always picture angels with wings? Does the Bible say they have them? When they appeared to the shepherds were they on the ground like regular people? In the sky?
Do we really know when (date, month) of when Jesus was born?
What do you wonder?
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve can you belive it is already here? Can you
believe all the shopping and eatting you have done?
I went and put flowers on my Aunt E's grave today. It is
hard to believe she has been dead for 6 months. It doesn't
really feel like she is dead somehow. I really don't know
how to explain it.
Holidays are rough on those of use that suffer from depress-
ion. So today feeling sorry for myself I ordered a small
pizza from Pappa John's and sat and ate the entire thing.
My pants feel too tight now. LOL I will try to eat better
tomorrow. Maybe. hee hee
This morning was the last of Sadie's meds. Thank goodness!
She seems to be feeling lots better.
Today mom and I watched "our" christmas movie. It's "I'll
Be Home For Christmas" with Jonathan Taylor Thomas. That
guy is such a cutie! He was the middle -- and cutest -- kid
on that show "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen. Anyways
it is sort of a tradition with mom and me to watch that movie.
My personal tradition is to watch the orginal "Christmas in
Connicutt" (ok, so I can't spell get over it) The one with
Barbara Standwick.
I am one of the few, very few, that can't stand that "other"
traditional movie, you know the one with Jimmy Stewart.
Merry Christmas Everyone.

Just a week until you know when
Sometimes I just can't believe AOL. Maybe
it isn't even them. Maybe I just am paranoid.
Today every time I try to log into MSN to get
to the groups I am a member of I keep getting
kicked off! The only way I can get signed into
MSN is to use an outside browser. It is really
weird.
Even weirder is my new neighbors. At least it
looks like someone may be moving in. Right now
some guy is out there mowing the yard. Yep, in
December -- the week before Christmas -- some
weird person is mowing their yard. I haven't seen
any furniture go into the house, but get this, I have
seen 2 motorcycles get moved into the building at
the back of that property. Not strange? Well
if I tell you how they got the motorcycles there
you would think different. The first motorcycle
they brought over in the back of a station wagon!
Yep, a station wagon. The next motorcycle was
larger so it came on the back of a truck.
Why not just drive the motorcycles over? Why the
back of a station wagon? A motorcycle in a car?!
I really don't know what is going on next door but
I just don't have a really good feeling about it.
Didn't think I was ever going to get a pill into
Sadie today! I crushed one and put it in her food
but she wouldn't eat. My dad came over later
and we tried to get one into her mouth. We got
into her mouth but NOT down her throat! Finally
had to give up because we were just stressing her
out. Luckily she got hungry and ate the food that
had the pill in it. I had to sit in the floor with her
to get her to eat and to make sure Sophie didn't
eat it.
Suzy sent me this great link. The guy that
invented the World Wide Web now has a blog!
And it isn't former Vice Preident Gore! This
seems to be the real deal folks. Check it out:
BlogBinders.com (Turn your blog into reality.)
OOPs, that's the wrong link! But it is an interesting link.
Here is the one I was
talking about:
So I have a blog | Decentralized Information Group (DIG) Breadcrumbs
I have some great links for my upcoming "what to
do" entry but could use some more. So keep
emailing them or leaving them in my comment
section. I am trying to use all that was sent, but
if I miss one you are free to add it to the comment
section when I do the entry.
Actually I was thinking instead of an entry, I may
make it into its own journal. What do you think?
A journal of nothing but links?
Take care of yourself and of each other.

Need a Laugh?
Funny short internet videos:
Ya gotta go and watch people make idots out of themselves! LOL
Go Tell It On The Mountain
I love this Christmas song. You don't hear it too much. If you don't know it click here and you'll go to the site that plays the music. It is beautiful.
Go Tell It On The Mountain
words: John W Work, Jr
music: african american spiritual
Refrain
Go, tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain,
That Jesus Christ born.
While shepards kept their watching
Over the silent flocks by night
Behold throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light.
Refrain
The Shepherds feared and trembled,
When lo! above the earth,
Rang out the angels chorus
That hailed the Savior's birth.
Refrain
Down in a lowly manger
The humble Christ was born
And God sent us salvation
That blessed Christmas morn.
Refrain
Update on Sadie
Sadie spent last night at the vets. Her white blood cell count was off so Dr B said she had a really bad infection. He gave her several shots, some fluids and she is perking up and has started eatting some. I have some pills I have to get into her for the next 6 or 7 days. (that's gonna be fun!)
All in all, Sadie is acting like she feels better which makes me feel better. She is such a sweetie.

I got tagged
Got this in an email from JillAnneMarie:
I'm tagging you and you get to tag 5 more!
Friday 5'er
1. Do you ever go to someone's journal and just think to yourself, "Oh brother...here they go again...get over it already!" And do you think your answer is naughty or nice?
Yes I have thought it, and I guess it wasn't particulary nice of me.
2. I kinda think naughty can be fun and nice can get boring. Tell us something you have done lately that was naughty.
only Santa knows, and that's because he knows everything.
3. Have you ever used the "If you are naughty Santa won't bring you any presents" line on your kids? And if they remained naughty did you ever withold their presents?
Don't have kids.
4. If you were at the work Christmas party and your "naughty" boss gave you a squeeze on your back side would you tell anyone?
Yes. I would complain.
5. Tell us about an unexpected nice thing someone has done for you this December...or something nice you have done for something else that wasn't expecting it.
Got a couple of beautiful cards from 2 people in J-land
I have paid for the car behind me at a drive-thru
I'm not tagging anyone but if you want to play just copy/paste and give your answers in your journal. Leave a link here so I can come visit.

Sadie
The sun came out today and the temps went up and the ice is
almost all gone! Yeah!
I took Sadie to the vet today. In fact I had to leave her for
a few hours and am waiting to call to see what is going on.
Sadie, bless her heart, got sick on the car ride to the vet.
This isn't unheard of but 99.9% of the time it happens on
the floor board. This time it didn't.
When going to the vet Sadie likes to sit on my shoulder.
She made a sound and I knew she was going to throw up.
I was trying to pick her up and sit her into the floor, but
I was in traffic and her nails got caught on my sweater.......
At the vets some older woman was standing behind me while
I was checking in. She said "do you know your cat threw up
on you? You have the huge spot on your back...." Now folks
if you have a cat you will know that they can't throw up any-
where near you and you not know it. The sounds they make!
And there is the smell.......
So I am standing there with cat puke on my sweater, tshirt,
jeans, and even in my hair. No lady I had no idea my cat
puked on me!
Poor little Sadie, she didn't even try to clean herself up
and she had about as much on her as I had on me. She has
lost more weight. She is down to 4 pounds. She hit a all
time high of 5.5 pounds and it has been down hill ever
since.
I have to call Dr B around 4 pm to see if he has found
out anything. Time is crawling by.

Wintery day
Well I am stuck inside the house today. Or at least for the first
half of the day. We have ice! I hate ice. It isn't too bad right
now and I hope it will stop raining or whatever the heck it is
doing before it gets really bad. They have called off all the
local schools.
I went out to get in the newspaper and about fell on my front
step. The porch wasn't so bad, but that step!
Thanks to everyone that has been leaving/mailing me links for
something to do online on Christmas. The list is growing. I have
started getting all the links together in a test journal so all I
have to do is copy/paste when it comes time to make the entry.
So far I have managed to remember to put the code in so each
link will open a new window.
I am really worried about my little Sadie. She hasn't been
grooming herself, and I haven't seen her in eat lately. She just
sits in one spot for half or even a whole day. I don't understand
what is going on. I am wondering if her birth defects are getting
worse or something. I will have had her 2 years come January
and I don't think anyone thought she would live past the first
couple months.

Got this in today's email
This sounds pretty legit to me so I am passing it on here:
I have a special request. I'm sure many of you are currently writing cards to friends and family. If you can, please send an extra one (or 10, or > 20) to our American military heroes who are recuperating from wounds this Christmas Season. Please enclose a short note thanking them for their service and personal sacrifice. We must let them know we care. Your small act of kindness will be greatly appreciated.
Here's the address...

I am deeply upset
Ok, this is where I draw a line.
Please go read about the "new beta" test for our journals.
I HATE what they have planned, to show if you are on line or not.
Please go voice your opinion. Even if it is different than mine. Hope it isn't though. (LOL)

What to do, what to do?
Ok, everyone I have an assignment for you.
Christmas is about 2 weeks away, and there
are people that dread it for one reason or another.
I am thinking of people that will -- for whatever --
the reason will be spending the holidays alone.
So instead of just sitting in front of the tv I
want to "give" them something to do to help pass
the time.
My idea: everyone give me links to your favorite
places on the web. You favorite games, groups,
whatever (no porn please). I will get you started
with a few links here. Please leave your links in
the comment section or email them to me. Then
I will make a post closer to Christmas (proabably
the Friday before) will all the links of things to
do. Then if anyone is alone or need to kill some
time they won't have to search for something to
do, all they have to do is stop here. Sorta like
one stop shopping.
Pass the word, Ok?
Here is a "starter" list:
AOL Pictures and Gifts (I just discovered this)
MSN Groups all kinds of groups for all kinds of
people
Linkoholics Heaven Link Menu links to everywhere
Make your own Online Movie just what it says
Downloadable Short Films just what it says
Neopets -- adopt an "online" pet
Mr Picassohead -- make online art
The Interview with God a short "movie"
Get the idea? Great. Look forward to hearing
from everyone.

Nothing much.
Hello. I know this
cat's face is a tad
big, but I love it.
I went to visit Aunt
Betty today. That
makes twice this month
She lives about an
hour away so I don't
usually see her as
often.
Had a great time. She is so funny. Stopped by this place called
Wink's for a late lunch on my way back home. I love their food.
I picked up a local newspaper while I was there. One of those
"forensic files" shows had been in town doing a story on an old
murder that had happened there years ago. Cool. Well, not
for the poor guy that got murdered, but to see a small town
get "picked" for a national tv show. Of course it will be
months before it aires.
I love this following graphic. Wait for the cutestly little
kiss you will ever see:
Ok, so the background
here is repeating and I
have covered part of it.
Sorry.
This is me for the rest of the day:

A Public Service Announcement
This Public Service Announcement is brought to you by:
C.A.T. (cats against tripping)
Sophie wants to know: if you don't tell your cats about cap nip who will? Do you want some cat out roaming the streets to tell your precious little about all the excitement cat nip can bring into their lives? The high they can only get from cat nip?
Sophie says to sit down with your kitties and explain this terrible mind altering drug to them before some feral scumbag does!

Thursday, 17 days to Christmas
Don't know why I am so stuck on using backgrounds
lately. Maybe because I have been saving a ton of
them!
Here's a new picture of Sadie. I don't
know how to correct how her eyes show up.
If anyone has some hints I will appreciate
them.
She is sitting on top of my hard drive. On
top of the hard drive that she sort of (well,
not sort of, but she did) threw up down the
front of! So glad she missed the broadband
modem, and that nothing seems to have gotten
into the hard drive.
She is just too cute to stay mad at. And she
couldn't help it, right?
I wanted to post a new picture of Sophie but she
has gotten a really bad case of camera shyness. I
don't understand it. I have never had a cat that was
camera shy.
Got a new link for you. this is really cool. Some-
one emailed it to me

yipee. LOL

Rainy, icky Monday.
First let me thank Vivian for the help with this special back-
ground. I couldn't have done it without you.
Today has basically been "one of those days". Got up early
went and picked up mom and we had breakfast out. Then
off to my aunt's house to do some stuff and to be there when
the Rescue Mission comes to pick up the furniture. We get
to the house and turn up the heat and start to work. After
a while mom realises that it isn't getting any warmer in the
house. Yep, the furnace wasn't working.
As we try to work in the cold a lense drops out of moms
glasses. A screw had come out of the frame so there was
no popping the lense back in. I told mom it was her sister
getting even for something! LOL
Oh, and then mom drops and breaks this little thing she was
using as an ashtray. I told her that it was her sister, see
Aunt E hated smoking and would not allow it in her house.
As the day goes on and it is cold (cold and rainy outside too)
I keep going through things and mom is just trying to stay
warm. Around 2:15 pm I call the Rescue Mission to see
how much longer it will be. They take my number and had
the driver call me back. We were to be stop 20 of 22 stops.
That would mean we could be frozen by the time they
showed up. I explained about the heat and they said they
would do the stop they were on and then skip to us.
Thank Goodness! They came in about 20 minutes and in about
15 minutes after they got there we were on our way home.
I get home and find a beautiful Christmas card from Deb. It
really brightened up my dreary day. Thanks Deb.
I then rushed to take Sadie to the vet. She has the beginnings
of an infection. Dr B and I decided that Sadie was a little
Princess, and Sophie was the one in the royal family that ends
up in the tabloids! LOL Sophie is my little "wild child". LOL
The weather is still crappy outside, but I am warm with my
little four footed babies and all is right with the world at
the moment (may not be later, but for right now).

Links and more Links
Need something to do on a rainy day? A snowy day? Well I have links and links and even more links. I have been keeping them in emails on my favorites list, everywhere. Today I have some time so I decided to add them to my journal so they would be all in one place.
I will put a link to this entry over to the left there so I can find this entry again -- and so you can too.
Again I am lazy. So you will have to right click on the links if you don't want to have to find a link back here. Got it? Good.
Have fun.
